Oh my my my ... Looks like the Big N had at least one surprise up its sleeve after all. Well played, Nintendo. Well played.

Soooo, I guess Wind Waker 2 is going to come out as a separate title?

Yeah, I think that's the idea. However, it makes me wonder why they didn't hype Wind Waker 2 during the press conference (which I watched live via streaming video). They hyped the new Star Fox, Resident Evil, and Metroid Prime games, however, and all of them look amazing.

Nintendo usually does a great job at E3, and this year is no different. Maybe one day it will translate into market share.

As awesome as this game looks, I think I might actually be more excited for the new GBA Zelda game they announced as well. It's being developed by Capcom, and the two Zelda: Oracle games they did for the GBC are nearly on par with Ocarina of Time for my all-time favourite Zelda games.

This is why I will always be a Nintendo loyalist to the very end. No matter what other systems come along, no matter how many times the cool kids say the system is dead - Nintendo will continue to get my money and my support.

I mean, what the hell other company would not only develop a game like this, but spend four years working on it and keep the whole thing in their back pocket, even after months of criticism about a lack of big-name upcoming titles. They had the ultimate trump card the entire time and chose to keep it unplayed until they could create the maximum impact.

The graphics are incredible - if you haven't downloaded the video, do so. As good as the stills look, they don't even do the game justice. Simply beautiful - and we know, if only from having the Zelda pedigree, that the actual gameplay will be top-notch and revolutionary.

I'll be counting the seconds.

My jaw dropped watching the video, its absolutely incredible. I, for one, find it amazing that there will be not only TWO Zelda games in the lifespan of this system, but each will be completely different stylistically. What a shock and what a great looking game. Maybe Miyamoto will play a larger role than he did with Wind Waker.

I do believe this IS the new Zelda game and Wind Waker 2 simply won't happen. Regardless, who could possibly complain? Anyone who shat on Wind Waker's cel shading must be just loving this.

Perhaps for the first time, we COMPLETELY agree here. Nintendo might be down, but for all the worries, they are never out. I too remain a Big N loyalist and after seeing some of the E3 stuff (4 Player Metroid Prime 2! WHOO!) I am happy that I continue to support Nintendo.

I actually got chills from the Zelda trailer. The sun setting scene was amazing. I can't wait to see what else this game has to offer.

I don't know of any screens but gametrailers.com has the trailer. It looks pretty much just like the first Metroid Prime, which isn't a bad thing I guess, Metroid Prime rocked.

Zelda looks very nice as well, looks like they've got some of the same bad guys and even a lot of the same sound effects and stuff as Wind Waker, but the better graphics. Looking very forward to it.

I got a Gamecube for Christmas this year just so I could play Wind Waker and Metroid Prime and it's been boxed up since then so I'm glad i'll get some more use out of it.

Nice to see Miyamoto get into character for the grand Zelda unveiling ... The 1-UP shirt is a nice touch, too
