Wait, do you mean mashing on my buttons, making my linebacker wave his arms wildly as if he's going to fly away before the snap had no effect BEFORE?
I know I should trust Tiburon, because they've given me no reason not to, but it seems like these new features could be easily exploited. Based on what I've read, player's "composure" will rise or fall during a game based on their performance, age, and where they're playing. So I'm going to start drooling whenever I line up against a freshman corner, 'cause if you burn him once, he's toast ALL GAME LONG.
Also, the mag I was reading said that if you're in a particularly hostile environment, and the crowd is completely insane, your controller will actually vibrate with it. Insane. | JoshMann

I know...damn them and their ability to make progress. Because really, NCAA 2004 is damn near perfect and then they do something to make it that much better.

I doubt EA would release any "official" scandal-oriented stuff but that'd certainly make for an interesting game... crushing all comers, rampaging your way to an awesome season when WOOPS, my QB just got busted for a drunken police chase (or something similarly juicy), NOW what?

I always wondered if the fact that my Stadium Maintenance was ridiculously high in 2004 was due to the less than saintly nature of the Philly natives coupled with my crowd pleasing $ a beer promotion.

Also, they should make a setting for Eagles fans where, if an opponent suffers a career-ending neck injury and has to be carted off the field in a full-body brace, you can still boo him and make fun of him the whole time. | kazhayashi81

| #20 Posted on 12.5.04 1547.56 Reposted on: 12.5.11 1548.25 | I hope they fix a few bugs. One in NCAA is that they keep referring to Byrd Stadium in College Park, MD as being in Baltimore (um, no) and on the Bay (um, no).
Madden:
Time Outs don't work. I hit time out and then the play clark falls to 25 seconds and starts running. Where's the time out? shouldn't I get 1 or even 2 mins to flip through my play book?
Fair Catch Kick. At the end of the half or game, if I take a punt or kick off and fair catch it, I may put the ball into play, even though there is no time on the clock, with a try. If I were down by 3 or less, and took a muffed kick deep in their side, and I could make a FG, I should be able to do it. Yes, it would be extremly rare where this would effect the game.
The Raven Catch. Advancing caught Field Goals. One can not catch a missed FG in this game.
Laterials. Still not in the game, sigh. Hopefully after that NO game where they nearly tied it, they will put it back in.
Kaz, techinally you can put players in different positions. In 2003, my Skins had 2 out of 5 WRs knocked out of the game, Champ Baily and a SS were made the #4 and #5 recievers on my Depth Chart. They had pretty good ratings for a WR.
But I get your point about moving them freely between positions. I don't know about the 2004 system, but the 2003 system was awesome, but I drafted my 2003 Draft Class...I never use the built-in random college players. |
