-HHH vs. Benjamin- Certainly not the best way to start the very well hyped show. A 3-minute match with a HBK attack on HHH. I always find it amusing when a wrestler gets knocking out of the ring and just vanishes. Shelton this week feel victim of the VORTEX OF DOOM!... HBK wants to battle HHH. This time IT'S FOR REAL!!!

-Batista vs. Tajiri- Batista needs to cool off trying to be the dude from muscleflex by doing those sissy poses. Tajiri uses the rail to set up a DDT but Batista blocks stops it as Tajiri is in mid flight and throws Tajiri into the rail(I was almost expecting Batista to take that move, that would have been Holy hit worthy). Well in the ring Batista did take a DDT when Tajiri reversed his powerbomb. But Batista hits a spinebuster to finish. Not the break out performance I was expecting by Batista but a decent showing... He chokes out Tajiri as Tajiri swallows his own mist, ewww is that like accidentally swallowing mouthwash? Because that what happened to me this morning and it wasn't fun.

-Stacy/Molly/Gail interview- Stacy has to do something so here she is promoting the Divas DVD, Gail is upset with Stacy TV time & is angered that Stacy claims to be prettier then her and Molly(did Stacy say that?). The fighters look really small compared to giant Stacy, Molly fixes that by punching her in the stomach... Out comes Victoria to even the odds. Jazz figures she's going to get on TV some time so out she comes. Nidia comes out & figures what the heck why not me too as run out to even the odds 3 on 3. (Jacqueline runs out and is laughed cause there's no way she can even rank in the top 6 Raw women so she takes her CRUSIERWEIGHT TITLE and goes back to Smackdown)

-Orton vs. Edge- This match had it's good and bad. The kick up to Randy head that missed and re-doing the spot was bad. But the kickoff to Edge's head by Orton was good. I like the bend of the back on the ring post by Edge to Randy. Nice crossbody from the top by Orton. Nice Spear to the Back of Orton causing Randy to fling hard into the rail. Orton jumps, Edge catches him and hits a powerbomb was nice... Overall started a little slow but turned out to a good outing by both.

-Gail/Molly/Jazz vs. Victoria/Stacy/Nidia- Jazz breaks out the wrestling skillz! Bridge crossface looks awesome. Leg whip by Jazz on Victoria into an STF (nice). Nidia makes a save and I just notice that both babyface girls are standing on the same side of the ring(just sad, I'd blame Stacy ditziness as she's the closest to the post). Gail gets in her satellite submission but Stacy makes the save. All girls in, nice dropkick by Nidia on Molly. Gail gets another submission in that looks like a Tequila Sunrise as Victoria taps in a seconds time... Wow what are they doing, Victoria is made to look incredibly weak that she didn't even struggle to get out of the move! One thing I've noticed is how poor the babyface women side is right now either lack of star power or talent. But the heel side has alot of depth. Gail seems least believable but getting pushed most & with Molly, Jazz & even Trish as heels as well

-Hardy/Lita/Kane interview- But first we have Christian backstage saying he's winning tonight & he's got a chance for the World title next week. Camera follows Trish as she walks up to Lita & wants to sympathize with her "OMG look out Aww" as Trish scares Lita hahaha(I think Trish watched Mean Girls this weekend in the theatre). Don't know if Trish pretending to be scared looking more realistic then Lita's ACTUALLY being scared was what they were going for but still funny. I sure hope this DOESN'T set up a feud between them... Matt & Lita is in the ring to set up a match vs. Val but Kane is on screen and Val seems to be in a bad situation. He wants Lita's decision. Did anyone notice the fan yell "You Suck" right as they go to break.

-Eugene vs. Conway- Damn I'll admit it also I'm looking forward to what happens, especially with Regal & Bischoff twist earlier in the night. The match sure was silly as heck but I did enjoy trying to pick up old school wrestling antics like Randy Savage double axhandle and the no sell of the head into the turnbuckle (who was he channeling there?). And I was really rooting for Regal NOT to turn on Regal, I want to see Regal's heart grow not one, not two but three times it's normal size When Regal tripped him I actually felt disappointed in Regal "Come on William, you know you grew a liking to him" LoL... William Regal once again has that magic touch of somehow making things work. It's looking really good for William & Eugene, all we need now is Eugene to leave Regal and hook up with Torrie (I'M KIDDING WWE!)

-Jericho vs. Christian- Flowerpot Lillian introduces the delicate flower Trish(mmm gardening), oh she also introduces the participants & rules of the match. Tomko looked pretty scary swinging a chair into the cage, but then misses a kick to Y2J head(erh). Not a great spot when it took forever as Y2J slowly crawl out of the ring & Christian had to grab the leg. But there was alot of good stuff. Y2J crossbody from the top of the cage. Springboard dropkick trapping Christian between the ropes & cage. Aww Trish getting locked in the Walls of AMERICA as Christian leaves the other side would have been a good ending. Christian has the crimson mask as he tries to crawl out of the ring getting as he's in the Walls his fingertips on the floor but Y2J brings him back in as Christian taps... DAMN Christian needed the win. Y2J/Benoit respect angle is BORING. Christian needs to get pushed now, not Y2J, ERRRRRRR

-OtherStuff- Jericho says he's going to get rough with Christian... Bischoff wants Regal to make Eugene lose, Regal looks a little saddened about this.. This is a great mid-card storyline... SD rebound shows us why I'm bored of SD... A Benoit desire video is shown, the entire IWC are in full out emotional waterworks at the beauty of Mr. Benoit... Johnny Nitro & Bischoff announce next weeks matches including a Battle Royal for a title shot at Bad Blood(please make it Christian, PLEASE). Also makes a match of Trish vs. Lita, this is a cruel joke on me for wanting Trish back in the ring. Yes I do but not against freakin crappy Lita.

-Line of the Night: Stratus says "B*tch can't take a joke"- Also another good line was LAWLER "Speaking of good kissers, here's Val!", ROSS "How would you know?"
-Sign of the Night: I have to change things up just a bit and go with Fan of the night and say Gumby guy. That was freakin hilarious. But where was Pokey? Maybe they didn't allow pets in arenas LoL... If there was a sign I had to pick I'd probably go with "Lita liked it, Go Kane" just for pure wrongness of it.
-3Stars of the Night: 1)Christian. 2)Jericho. 3)Jazz.- There is a few more I could have picked from Eugene, Regal, Orton, or even Mean Girl Trish Stratus.

First hour was a little disappointing but the second hour was very strong. Eugene/Regal is great, Orton/Edge was more good then bad. The main event was a very good match but like most of this angle I disagree with the booking & outcome. Jazz looked great in the ring, most of the heel women do but the babyface woman need some major work. I also think JR/King were really ON tonight... Overall might fall slightly under high expectations but a good show for free TV nonetheless. Wow I totally agree (almost word for word) with Joe E Nitro review LoL. And Emma thanks for the live report.

Ask Jacqueline. Although in her case, "wrestle" is purely a theoretical situation.

I think Jacqueline should wrap the cruiserweight title belt around those things when she comes to the ring, though they might need to extend the belt to make it work.

RRT: Random Raw Thoughts...

- Let's see... last time I checked, interrupting a match and beating the crap out of one of the participants is in fact cause for disqualification. I'm still waiting for a bell.

- By the way: Hey Shawn, thanks for ruining a perfectly good match.

- Triple H VS. Benoit next week... well, at least they're coming up with fresh ideas. Oh, wait...

- I don't know what makes me sadder: Flair saying Triple H is the greatest wrestler alive today, or Flair actually believing it.

- Did J.R. just say Head and Shoulders? An unofficial endorsement, perhaps?

- To answer Lawler's question, HBK will now become a travelling minister, preaching the will of God, and teaching strategies for jumping people and stealing their title shots.

- If they're going to shill a Diva video, couldn't they at least try to disguise it?

- Yes Lawler, Orton is like a statue... except that he moves.

- Awesome counter into a powerbomb by Edge.

- Uncle Eric, quit being mean. Let Eugene have his fun. Regal: DON'T DO IT!!!

- I skipped the Divas match (so sue me).

- SmackDown!: NOBODY CARES!

- Can ProblemSolver Tyson Tomko help me with my problem solving math homework?

- Lita's feuding with Kane, and she's standing next to a coffee machine? This means something!

- Nice to see they've alotted a whole 10 minutes for the cage match.

- Hey Tyson, your kick missed. Nice effort though... I guess...

- The double arm suplex off the turnbuckle will "shake your liver"?

In other news...

I don't think you can really count Gatorade since two of theirs are regular Gatorade and the other two are Gatorade X-Factor.

I hereby refuse to acknowledge any product named after an extremely sub-par stable.

But, since you have brought it to attention, I will remove Gatorade from the match.

Besides... people sweating strange colors is just weird.

Flair also proved that he can get away with anything because he's a good worker. Imagine if Bradshaw used the word "Spic" over on the other show. We'd have a 80 post thread about it by now.

Smackdown's a taped show. If they were dumb enough to let a racial slur air (bleeped or not), they deserve the backlash. RAW is a live show (albeit on a few second delay), so all they can do is bleep things and hope for the best. Plus, Ric Flair is generally considered such a cunning linguist that he's given free range for promos. This week he slipped up and got bleeped. Whoops.

1. At this stage in his career, Flair is not forgiven ANYTHING "because he's a good worker"
2. Saying one pejorative is more or less offensive than another is a bad way to think
3. Bradshaw using a racial epithet would be more in line with his entire angle than Flair casually dropping his for a pre-match promo
4. You may not have noticed this, but PRO WRESTLING is LOWBROW
5. Flair's epithet is "older" and not as well known to be pejorative to the younger viewing audience
6. If we EVER had an 80 post thread about something as STUPID as this, and I hadn't closed it down before it got to that point, I would probably be dead

There's a quick six. Pick your favourite.

1/ That's debatable. I guess it has more to do with his "legend" status, but Ric Flair's constant cronyism and pandering and ass-kissing goes without mention by otherwise bitter and hard-to-please fans because he was so darn good in the ring, which while true makes him no less of a pandering kiss-ass.

2/ I didn't say one perjorative was more offensive than the other, I was saying someone disliked who did the same thing would be crucified but a "good worker" will be given a pass for anything he chooses to do.

3/ You're right, but racial slurs, regardless, have no place in wrestling. There are plenty of other ways to communicate the themes they're trying to portray without stooping to the lowest possible level.

4/ I repeat, you're right, but racial slurs, regardless, have no place in wrestling. There are plenty of other ways to communicate the themes they're trying to portray without stooping to the lowest possible level.

5/ I fail to see how this is valid. Are you saying older epithets are okay to use but new, more commonly heard ones are not? I can't wait till Flair calls Shelton a "Mooley", then.

6/ You got me there.
