Superhero Hype has the pic up and running and apparently it will also be in Entertainment Weekly's next issue as well. It definitely is not blowing me away, but I'll give it time and not crap all over it just yet. Thoughts? | Promote this thread! | | SchippeWreck

I wouldn't have chosen a pose where it looks like he's having a difficult bowel movement as the first picture everyone sees, but I think the suit looks good. I thought he looked a little too muscular, but that's just the way his cape is draped.
I'm excited.

How big are those ears anyways?
And they are supposed to be using the plain ole black bat symbol that runs in the current comics, aren't they? | Mild Mannered Madman

According to EW, it's grey & black. You can't really make any sort of detail out from their picture either. | The Vile1

Well this didn't really impress me or blow me away like the early pictures of the Spider-man movie costume. My reaction is more along the lines of the Daredevil costume pictures, disappointed. Maybe this is just a bad picture, but the costume just doesn't really strike me that much. I wish the bat emblem on the chest stood out a bit more, but whatever. The gauntlets look too big and heavy, I think, and they look to be separate pieces from the gloves. I think from what I've heard about the script, the gauntlets are supposed to be more like weapons.
Well, the costume doesn't have white lenses, which I am happy about, and I don't see any nips so that's good too. But judging from this picture, the costume doesn't look to be much of a departure from the older films...

The cape does look ridiculously long doesn't it? Doesn't seem very realistic or practical for fighting at that size. Maybe he hides stuff under it or uses it to better glide off buildings and stuff.

I'm sure the cape will probably appear to be different sizes throughout... realism pshaw.
Really, the GREAT thing about this costume is that its not all molded rubber. Batman will actually look like he has muscles and actually... trained. Fucking Keaton. And others.

I know that's probably not how Frank drew it, but c'mon. It's a big commercial movie of a superhero franchise. You wouldn't mess with Superman's S shield, wouldja?

And why the Keaton hate? Curly hair aside, I thought he played a distraught, self-hating Bruce Wayne and Batman pretty damn well. Val was OK, with a good Bat-look, and Clooney...yeesh.
Bale looks like he'll do fine in the part, but SOMEBODY fix the Batlogo. Please. I'm beggin' ya.

As far as the Batmobile goes, yes, it's goofy, but as it is supposed to be, the prototype Batmobile. This is supposed to be a year one type deal, and I doubt highly that Bruce Wayne just up and had the car waiting, so he found something that worked. | GoddamnJordan

Well, I think Keaton did a pretty good job, actually... I'm just kind of pissed that he wasn't a big guy. You know, Batman actually WORKS OUT. The molded rubber costumes actually threw me off. I think thats my only complaint on Keaton's end.
I'm just so glad to have this away from Schumacher, Clooney, Chris O'friggin'Donnel and a chunky Alicia Silverstone running around. Oy vey. Arnold... skating, hockey henchmen... ugh. Despite how great the 60's show was... and it is great in its hilarity... it ruined the comics for years and years. Thank Christ no one actually WATCHED Batman and Robin. Schumacher's next movie would've had the fucking Bookworm, no doubt. | ekedolphin

Check out AMERICAN PSYCHO...one of the best movies I'd ever seen, and probably a good example of a non-murderous, non-psycho, non-80s music obsessed Bruce Wayne would be like.
