Contra: Shattered Soldier for ps2 is only about $15 and has decently updated graphics and gameplay (thankfully) very close to the original. The co-op mode is fun shoot-and-gun side scrolling action, but let me warn you the game is HARD. I don't know how drunk you normally get, but it can definitely get frustrating after a while, which might not be a good thing when drunk. :-P But definitely fun, and a throwback to times of simpler, purer gameplay. :-)

There was another game -- Mutant League Football for the Genesis. Played like an extreme version of Madden; a lot of killing going on. In fact, we'd have to tone down the roughness setting, otherwise every game would end in a forfeit due to too many players dying. What fun.
I can't I forgot Mutant League Football. The San Fransisco Forty-Whiners? Classic.
Also, Fuzion Frenzy for X-Box. Gold.
