3.75/5 for tonight's episode.

Gotta say tonight Illyria looked more like an Evil Fred to me rather than an actual god to a god. That's just me. Next week looks quite sweet with more flashback goodness.

Discuss.

I keep waiting for them to figure out some way to end the season/series with Angel undoing his decision to join Wolfram and Hart last season, and they keep teasing me. I thought it would involve Connor until they finished his arc last week. Then, this week, I thought it would involve Illarya sending Angel backwards through time, then they took away her ability to do that. Oh well.

I liked how they put the necklace on the demon. That was clever.

The scene where everyone died was awesome, especially the dusting of Spike and Angel. Did they mutlilate Lorne's body enough to kill him? I don't remember...

I like Crazy Wesley.

The rest of the episode was okay.

I don't like that they are teasing a Buffy appearance next week.

It is a bit of a tease... although I'm sure a lot of people would figure that they'd outright show Sarah if she were going to appear.

Should be great though, Angel and Spike traipsing through Europe and getting into fights over who Buffy loves... should be excellently classic shit. Not to mention some flashback Dru goodness. Love Dru.

I'm not even sure what to say about this episode, exactly... Lorne was great. Do you even know how to USE this thing?

Erm... David Boreanez' wife is hot?

I'm just wondering how next week's Buffy focused episode will focus on Angel's new attitude... ruling everything he surveys... or whatever the hell Illyria kept saying.

Master of his domain, king of the castle, lord of the manor.

Screw the Buffy angle. Where's the hottie werewolf (no, not Oz)?

I liked this show, but what I didn't like jumped out at me. It's starting to feel rushed as they near the last episode.

The Illyriaspeak must end and must end now. It's a supernatural version of the stereotypical old crank's "back in my day ..." ramble. You used to be a big kahuna. We got it. Go discover ice cream or apple juice or Def Leppard and say something new. Please.

The last twist-ish Angel attitude better have good explanation, and I am NOT happy that Eve has no reason to be around.

The necklace on the demon absolutely ruled, that was probably my favorite part of the episode.

I didn't like Lorne dying, but it was obvious that they were going to un-do the slaughter, it didn't bother me as much.

I do want to know "why" Angel said what he did at the end of the episode. I would have thought that Ilyria's pep talk would have given him more resolve to fight the good fight.

Theoretically. I don't think we know what kills Lorne, except for the fact that beheading doesn't do it. It looked like Illyria tore what's assumed to be his heart out, though.

I think it did. I just think we won't find out how till next week, although somehow helping those clients fits into all of it. Angel's figured something big out -- he just hasn't shared it with anyone yet.

He did say that mutilating the body will do it (the same ep where we found out he can survive beheading). Beyond that, who knows?

That liaison to the Senior partners is a real cutup, he will either be killed in a funny way or join the team.

It seems that the new Fred knows the senior partner personally, could we see a trip to ancient times with Wolf Ram & Heart themselves?

The end of the episode was strange, but I got the feeling he closes the door and breaks a couple demon necks.

I got the last half of the episode, so I didn't know how they freed Gunn till reading the thread. That does sound like a clever way of doing it. I did like Angel telling Illayria to just shut up though and I have an idea of what Angel is doing. Of course, I read the spoilers and unfortuantly they are turning out true.

In other news, I saw on CNN Nichalos Brendan is going to rehab. Man, what a tough year for the Buffyverse. First Angel gets canned in the middle of the season, those guys are out of jobs and now, Nick is in rehab. I guess the question is who or what is next?

Nicholas Brendan is going into rehab? What for? I thought he had a supporting role on some Fox sitcom that was supposed to debut at some point?

Alcoholism, the poor bastard. At least he's getting help.

It doesn't mention anything about his sitcom. Maybe it'll go on, recovering alcoholics can be funny...er...
