| #1 Posted on 26.4.04 1203.33 Reposted on: 26.4.11 1203.47 | Time for some speculation. According to Insider, these are the well-known faces who definitely are on the trading block this summer (odds of being traded in parentheses):
(2-1) Wally Szczerbiak, SF, Wolves (2-1) Jason Terry, G, Hawks (2-1) Shareef Abdur-Rahim, PF, Blazers (2-1) Tyson Chandler, PF, Bulls (3-1) Antoine Walker, SF, Mavs (3-1) Elton Brand, PF, Mavs (3-1) Steve Francis, PG, Rockets (3-1) Tracy McGrady, SG, Magic (3-1) Jerry Stackhouse, SG, Wizards (4-1) Ray Allen, SG, Sonics (4-1) Zydrunas Ilgauskas, C, Cavs (4-1) Jason Richardson, SG, Warriors (5-1) Jamal Mashburn, SF, Hornets (5-1) Shawn Marion, SF, Suns (5-1) Vince Carter, SG, Raptors (6-1) Paul Pierce, SG, Celtics (6-1) Allen Iverson, SG, 76ers (10-1) Paul Gasol, PF, Grizzlies
Combine this with all the free agents (Kobe being at the top of the list) and the Charlotte Bobcats Expansion Draft in a few weeks - this makes for an interesting offseason.
Any thoughts as to who goes where?

I would say that Stan Van Gundy and Miami need to continue the momentum from this season and try to obtain some big talent like Ray Allen or Steve Francis.
Hopefully Iverson can be lured back to the 76ers, but I can see him going to the Lakers of all places (once Kobe is gone). | redsoxnation

It'll be interesting to see if Vlade is going to re-up for a lot less, or go finish up in Serbia. Also, I wonder if Peeler will exercise his option (I hope he stays!)

Looks like the Pacers' only pending free agents are Anthony Johnson, Kenny Anderson and Jamison Brewer. After next year will be an interesting time for us, as the contracts of Austin Croshere, Jamaal Tinsley, Primoz Brezec and James Jones expire.
Regarding our free agent class of '04, I'd like to see us at the very least re-sign Anthony Johnson. Getting Kenny Anderson re-signed would be very nice, too. Jamison Brewer... boy, I don't know. I think he definitely has the potential to be a starting point guard for some team, but I think the Pacers are too deep for him to get any serious playing time.
For the class of '05, I'd definitely like us to re-sign Jamaal Tinsley, particularly if he has as good a year (or better) as he's had this season. He's really stepped it up for us. I'd like to get Croshere re-signed with a better contract (read: for less money). Dunno about Brezec and J. Jones, that'll depend a lot on how they do next year. Players drafted by the Pacers tend to show what they're made of the year after they're drafted, so ask me this time next year about James. | Quezzy

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the list was for rumored traded players not free agents?
Either way, they should keep Pau Gasol, but I'm not sure they'd be stupid if they were going to get someone even better, say Kobe, out of the deal. I mean Gasol is a great player but the Grizz didn't look so hot in the playoffs, they could use someone who has proven they can play in the crunch time, but unless you're getting somebody really good in return then hold on to Gasol.
Doesn't look like the Kings are losing much, I don't know why everyone says this is their last chance to win it all. I know they are having some problems right now but they still have a bunch of talent. Even if the current roster is no longer together after this season they can trade some players and as long as they get equal talent they will still have a contending team. | Firecracker

While these stars would definitely improve the Heat, we have too many guards and shooters already -- we need a big imposing center. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
