Right now there are only four active legends in WWE:
Flair, Undertaker, Michaels and Foley!

Do you think any or all of them would deserve another run with the world or wwe title?

Do you think it would be good buissness? How long should that run/those runs be?

I could see a run for Shawn, that could mean good buissness and two short runs for Flair and Taker!
I donīt think Foley needs another title!

I don't see Flair with the strap anytime soon but betting against Taker having another title run before retirement would be foolish.

Flair'll get it sometime in the next year, mainly because he says he only wants to work another twelve months and, according to Meltz, Trips would be only too happy to put him over in the run-up to his final match.

I think Flair's days with the big belt are long behind him at this point. I can't see him being able to go 20-25 minutes in a main event world title match without it causing pity from longtime Flair fans.
Michaels will probably get at least another run. It'll probably happen in the next few weeks/months. As a face champion, he was never much of a draw, so if they pull the trigger, hopefully they will do it under the old Tully Blanchard philosophy of 'People willing to spend money because they hate you and want to see you lose.'
Taker is a default champ, when Vince can't figure out what else to do with the belt Taker will have short runs with it.
Foley would have to at least be semi-active and willing to do house shows to get a title run. Barring bad investments/squandering his book royalties, I doubt that he'd be willing to do that.

I think all four guys you mention DESERVE one last big accolade before they retire for good (IF they retire for good, of course). No question they've given back to the business, and each has their share of loyal followers. But the problem becomes will people PAY MONEY to see them in the top role at this stage?

I could see a PPV being sold on either Foley or Flair challenging for a world title, but once they win it, then what? Their best days are far from over, and seeing them in a top role on a weekly and monthly basis just isn't exciting anymore. The nostalgia pop only goes so far (see Hogan as the prime example of that).

Michaels has used up his 'final run' card now, and while it's been fun, I don't think people would pay to see it one more time. Again, perhaps him chasing the belt, but not defending it on a regular basis...

And as far as Undertaker goes, its hard to give him that 'last run' push when the guy challenges for the title at least once a year, anyways...

If the creative guys write stuff for Michaels that will give him the heat, I reckon he could carry the strap as a heel champ for quite a while. Whether he'd be better off doing it on Raw or SD is another question.

I would be amazed if Flair doesn't get to hold the big gold belt aloft once more, even if its just a Bob Backlund type gig. You know, go over at the PPV, job it in a 9 sec squash the next night on Raw, injuries, blah, blah, career over. In fact, Backlund did it at a house show, IIRC.

I think putting any title on Foley would only work as a 1 month transitional thing, might be good nostalgia though.

I will be amazed if Taker hasn't got the belt again by Xmas.

Like everyone else has said:

Michaels will have another run, and probably as a heel in the very near future. They've already started the heel turn on him, and I can actually see him taking the belt from Benoit (and possibly joining Evolution) during their match next week.

Flair is just too old to be a believable champion again. He may challenge for it in his retirement match, but I don't think he'll have another run. He's already said he's winding down his in-ring involvement.

I don't think Foley will ever have another run with the belt. Foley's a good guy to bring in for "special projects" like Orton, to establish them as the real deal and bring them to the next level in the eyes of the fans. You aren't supposed to have to do that for guys who are carrying the big belt

Taker is a question mark. Given the fact that he's been completely MIA for the last month, I'm not sure if his current gimmick would really fit with a title run. But then again, we haven't really seen that much of it.

In HHH's absence, I could see HBK getting the belt again, but the smart thing is to run with Benoit for a while and have him face a variety of opponents, like they're looking to do with Eddy on SMACKDOWN!

I don't think any of the four listed should get another title run, save for maybe Flair. They need to work on mixing in other guys for now and establishing Benoit further before they move the belt onto anyone else.

Flair probably will not get another title reign. Triple H's current career goal, according to Meltzer, is to break Flair's record for most title reigns (that's why they've started to point out Triple H is an 8 time champion and settled on 16 for Flair).

Taker and Shawn are viewed, or at least probably should be, as backup options if the younger/newer guys don't get over as champions. Vince trusts them, and I wouldn't be surprised if in the next 1-2 years, one of them gets a title reign. But if it happens, it's probably a short term solution and not a long term plan.

Foley winning the belt again is unlikely, since he seems intent and perhaps only capable of wrestling 3 to 4 matches in a year, and your champion needs to wrestle every week and most every house show.

I think the only way that Flair could believably win the world title is to win either a battle royal (i.e. the Rumble) or win a fatal four-way or elimination chamber type match where the plotline is Flair using his 'veteran wiles' to escape danger and end up outlasting the young bucks. In just a straight-up wrestling match, it's just not believable that a WWE wrestler like Benoit, Guerrero or HHH would be beaten by nothing but punches, eye gouges, chops and a figure-four.

Foley and Taker are only transitional champions, that were given belts more as a good gesture then any other reason.

Flair and Michaels are real world champions.

HBK could be an active champion, as much as HHH could be. Shawn has taken the comeback, and the "final run" and turned it into a new career. So I say if HBK won the belt and held it for a month or a year it is believable.

Flair, deserves the title. The ideal Flair title win would be his last match followed by a fair well speech. It could be used for Flair as the retirement speech he needs to go out with, along with holding the title he made famous. It could also set up the greatest Flair moment since the return in WCW. Flair wins the belt, says he appreciates everyone, but is retiring and surrenders the belt to WWE.

I'd like to see Flair win the title by actually hitting his top rope attack but im only a dreamer. Taker will get the strap before hes gone because Smackdown is weak right now and when it comes to jobbing Taker's "Just not feeling it".

Yeah, because that plan worked so well when Bret Hart tried it in Montreal.

If Ric Flair retires from active competition, Ric Flair will still be gainfully employed by the WWE and would have a financial reason to do what the company recommends he do. Bret Hart was no longer gainfully employed with the WWF, so had no financial reason to do anything.
