*World Heavyweight Championship Match (Triple Threat)
-Benoit(c) vs. HHH vs. Michaels
PICK: CHRIS BENOIT -- Benoit got the title at WM, I wouldn't think they'd take it away from him just a month later, but you never know. The match I think loses a little luster with the whole changing of hometowns thing I do wonder how it will effect the match.

*Intercontinental Championship Match (Hardcore rules)
-Orton(c) vs. Cactus Jack
PICK: RANDY ORTON -- If it wasn't for the IC title I'd think Foley would have a chance, but I doubt he'd get any title so Orton gets a very lucky win.

*Women's Championship Match
-Victoria(c) vs. Lita
PICK: LITA -- Poor Victoira, talk about a lose-lose situation. This babyface/babyface match does nothing for Victoria at all. If Victoira loses it's a total slap in the face, dropping the title to a fellow babyface. And even if Victoira wins she'll be overshadowed by the soda machine that is Lita he's established as Victoria hasn't been on TV since the day after WM and has done really little to establish Victoira as a face. How poor Lita is wrestling since her comeback, Stacy is more worthy.

*2 on 1 match
-Jericho vs. Christian/Stratus
PICK: CHRIS JERICHO -- It's Canada so the wrestlers who's still claim to be Canadian will no doubt lose. Even though I'm sure Jericho will be announced from Canada to get a cheap pop for this week because that's what Jericho has been all about recently, getting a cheap reaction. Jericho will win no doubt, I hope this whole thing doesn't get worse

-Edge vs. Kane
PICK: KANE -- Much like a Booker match in Texas, don't pick Canadians in Canada. Even though we don't know where Edge is from these days. Edge come back match you'd think he'd win. But considering he's got the cast and I wouldn't be surprised if we see some Johnny Nitro shenanigans, I'd think Edge would take the lose. What an uneventful build to a comeback from a year long injury match this is for Edge

-Benjamin vs. Flair
PICK: RIC FLAIR -- I picked Benjamin first because he was beating HHH twice why wouldn't he beat Flair. But then I got thinking Batista isn't really doing anything at this PPV he might be the difference and give Flair the win setting up a Benjamin tag title feud down the line with those two. But then again I can see Benjamin feuding with Orton after this, if that would to happen Benjamin would win this match. Total toss up this match is, I'm going with Flair simply because my predictions has been very babyface heavy for the PPV.

-Tajiri vs. Coachman
PICK: TAJIRI -- The wrestler will win over the announcer, right. Right?

*Maybe they will add a La Rez vs. Hurricane/Rosey yet it's still no word on it offically. If they do, my pick goes to LA REZ... It's a okay card on paper, the IC title match certainly has my interest. The World title match even though it won't be as special as WM, could be very good but the whole hometown change will take away the unique appeal this one could have had. Benjamin/Flair can be good as well. But the rest of the card looks bad, pay to watch Lita wrestle, no thanks. Pay to see a Raw comedy match of Tajiri/Coach, euh. Edge/Kane has had a horrible build. Seeing Jericho put down Trish, sorry not my idea of pay per view fun. I'm most likely skipping this PPV.

See, that makes NO SENSE to me. How can a hometown change affect the match itself? Ah well. Anyways:

Benoit, Orton, Jericho, Flair, Tajiri, Victoria, Edge? Yep.

Okily dokily:

Benoit vs. HHH vs. HBK- Sticking with my guns, I go with the nonsensical HHH win.

Orton vs. Foley- Orton gets the HHH push from Foley, but I'm guessing this one won't work out as well. Still, Orton wins.

Flair vs. Benjamin- Flair continues to do the right thing, and he lays down. Benjamin wins.

Y2J vs. Christian/Trish- Y2J gets his revenge and the win after Lita-ference.

Lita vs. Victoria- Meanwhile, Molly comes out and costs Victoria the title. This sets up a Victoria/Molly restart to their feud, and frees up a Lita/Trish title match (eek) for Raw. Lita wins.

Edge vs. Kane- NHS is CRAZY to go against Edge here. Edge is going to get some sort of title shot at the next Raw PPV, so losing here to a guy who doesn't need wins or losses to stay strong doesn't make sense. Edge wins.

Coach vs. Tajiri- Coach has more heat, therefore he wins via some shenanigans.

This is the first split-brand PPV I'm buying. I swore I'd never do it, and since last June, I've only purchased "the big four", but dammit to hell, they lured me with this one. On paper, it looks damn good.

Let me get this out of the way first:
Eugene Dinsmore vs Rob Conway
This is just anouther example of the OFB going out on a limb. There aren't even rumors that this match is going to happen, but it seems likely enough to me. Eugene's gotten a pretty decent amount of screen time since his debut - as have La Resistance - so a PPV in-ring debut wouldn't be out of the question. And Dinsmore and Conway were tag team partners in OVW - and the WWE loves to throw together matches like that. And Conway did destroy his rabbit on RAW last week.
FUZZY SEZ: If it happens, I should get some points just for predicting it. And Eugene would win. If they go with the idiot savant gimmick, this match would be pretty decent, too.

And now, on with the show proper:
Tajiri VS Jonathan Coachman
Oh, what's wrong with the occassional comedy match? And who doesn't love heel Coach? Someone without a soul, that's who.
FUZZY SEZ: Coach is probably going to find some way to pull this one off, probably segueing into a new feud with an actual wrestler for Tajiri. Matt Hardy would be a decent choice. (Coach would make a great MFer, don't you think?)

Shelton Benjamin vs Ric Flair
Believe it or not, but this match is half the reason I'm buying this one. I've become such a mark for Benjamin, it's unreal. The underdog gimmick works every time.
FUZZY SEZ: I love the guy, but Flair has no business beating anyone these days. Shelton wins, and goes on to take Orton's belt away from him at Badd Blood, or whatever they call the June PPV.

Edge vs Kane
I hope Edge can still go like he did before he got hurt. If so, I think he might find himself wearing the Big Gold Belt by Christmastime.
FUZZY SEZ: No one loses their return match. Well, except Grandmaster Sexay, but he doesn't count. Edge, without a doubt.

Chris Jericho vs Christian and Trish Stratus
No matter what the context, I get uncomfortable whenever a male wrestler hits a woman. Especially when he's a face. I mean, would the Hulkster have done that? (Well, maybe Sherri Martel, but she doesn't count.)
FUZZY SEZ: He jobbed at Wrestlemania, and, at the end of the day, he's still just fighting Christian. Jericho wins this one.

Victoria (c) vs Lita
I don't really get why Lita's in this match. If I may be shallow for a moment, however, she's got a great ass (I love the short shorts she's been wearing since the comeback), and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters in the Womens division. (Shame about the way they're fucking over Molly, though. I hope she at least runs interference in this one.)
FUZZY SEZ: I've been expecting Lita to get this belt back for years now, and she never actually does. I won't be fooled again. Victoria retains.

Cactus Jack vs Randy Orton (c)
The main reason I'm buying this show. It sure as hell seems like Foley can still go. It looks like he's in the best shape he's been in since Mankind lived in the basement and wore brown. He seems determined to make a star out of Orton, and I'm sure Mick's gonna come into this thing giving everything he's got and more.

The catch is Randy Orton. The last time Mick reverted to Cactus Jack was to cement HHH's status as a bonafide main eventer. And, going into the 2000 Royal Rumble, the general fan consensus about HHH as champion would be about the same as if Orton was wearing that belt right now - a range between outrage and apathy. After that night, when HHH brought it every bit as hard, matching Foley move for move and bump for bump at his own game, Hunter arrived. He was legit. And, as hard as it may seem for newbies to believe, everything he did was gold, as far as the Internet was concerned, until his injury the next spring.

If he does the same thing, this night will make Randy Orton.
FUZZY SEZ: I can't see Mick winning the Intercontinental Title here, and I don't see Orton jobbing in a match intended to make a star out of him. He retains.

Chris Benoit (c) vs HHH vs Shawn Michaels
How cool is it that the little (c) is after Chris Benoit's name? I still can't get used to that. (But I think I've got at least another two months to try, but we'll get to that in a moment.)

The match at Wrestlemania was easily the best Triple Threat match I've ever seen. I'm tempted to call it the best main event in Wrestlemania history - and I have to go back to Hogan/Warrior to find something that I can even make a case for. (The Austin/Rock matches are perfectly fine, but not in the same league as this one, and the Ironman match drags in the middle. Most of the other main events are, in the grand scheme of things, not that great. Good, yes, but not even Match of the Year contenders.) These three are determined to make this match even better - and these three may also be the best at telling a story in the ring and making a match memorable on the active WWE roster today. Benoit is Benoit, and lately HHH has been performing like it's 2000 and HBK thinks it's 1996. This will be off the charts once again.

And then there's the potential Bret Hart factor, which I still don't think will happen, but I'll order the show just so I don't miss it anyway...
FUZZY SEZ: Chris Benoit. I can site any number of reasons - Hunter's movie deal, Benoit's addition to the RAW opening credits brandishing the belt, the hometown factor - but, at the end of the day, I'm picking him because that's who I want to win, and that's who I'm going to root for, and that's who I'm going to mark out for once again when he makes HBK tap out this time. (Hopefully leading to a one on one match next time, which will probably get me to buy *another* split-brand PPV...)

Tajiri/Coach should be an enjoyable comedy match. Victoria/Lita won't be that great, but will prominently feature Lita's little shorts. Everything else should be somewhere in that good to great range, and the last two matches have the potential to become outright classics. This one looks damn good.

Maybe that's why I'm forgiving of her sloppiness. :-)

Foley (just to be different) who then vacates the IC Title because he isn't full time- Title Tournament
Christian/Trish due to surprise interference...who? I dunno I like that Rhyno Idea, the CLB's Bodyguard?

Has there ever been a PPV where the outcomes are more obvious? In almost every match, there's one guy who needs to be put over big and one guy (or two guys) who don't need it. I'm sure they'll throw in at least one SHOCKING SWERVE!!! to keep it from being totally predictable, though. But that said:

Benoit/Trips/Michaels: If it's anyone but Benoit, the ring is going to fill up with flying garbage.

Orton/Foley: They've really raised expectations for a "traditional" Foley bloodbath. The question is whether Orton is up to it -- and if Foley can still handle that kind of thing. Still, Orton goes over.

Tajiri/Coach: Tajiri. I dub this Match Most Likely to Be Pushed to Heat.

Benjamin/Flair: Benjamin.

Lita/Victoria: Unfortunately, the bookers seem to have gone cold on Victoria as women's champion (how often has she gotten to be on Raw in the last month or so)? I get a feeling they're going back to the old reliables -- which mean Lita goes over.

Edge/Kane: Kane. I nominate this as the SWERVE! -- and it also gives Edge and Kane something to do after the PPV, building for a rematch at the next.

Jericho/Christian & Trish: Jericho, via Trish tapping to the Walls.

*World Heavyweight Championship Match (Triple Threat)
-Benoit(c) vs. HHH vs. Michaels
PICK: HHH -- Followed by his pointing at all of the smarks and saying "What? It's not like he jobbed in his hometown or anything"

*Intercontinental Championship Match (Hardcore rules)
-Orton(c) vs. Cactus Jack
PICK: FOLEY -- This has been the most lopsided feud ever in the history of ever. Unless Mick is going away for GOOD directly following this match, he has to win something along the line

*Women's Championship Match
-Victoria(c) vs. Lita
PICK: VICTORIA -- Christian or Trish to interfere somehow or another

*2 on 1 match
-Jericho vs. Christian/Stratus
PICK: CHRISTIAN/TRISH -- Jericho gets knocked out somehow or another, Trish thrown on top for the win

-Edge vs. Kane
PICK: EDGE -- ......this is actually difficult to call. It's Edge's comeback, but they CAN'T be serious about totally burying Kane with a clean win.....I'll say Edge wins via countout

-Benjamin vs. Flair
PICK: BENJAMIN -- Unless HHH shows up for revenge, pretty obvious

-Tajiri vs. Coachman
PICK: COACHMAN -- Because announcers winning matches = RATINGS

-Benoit goes over big-time in the ME and the crowd goes, because no-one gives a crap whether or not he's announced from Atlanta at the start of the match.
-Orton triumphs over Foley in a sick-ass brawl.
-Shelton adds another notch to his belt with a victory over Flair.
-Lita wins the Women's Title with a li'l help from Matt Hardy, setting up one o' those "are-they-aren't-they?" angles.
-Jericho gets a tap-out victory over trish, and if I had my way he'd be blindsided by the reunited T & A after the bell.
-Edge beats Kane, no questions asked.
-Is Mark Henry due back any time soon? How about Rodney Mack? Because if so, I can see one or both getting involved in Coach's match and finding themselves a new manager...

Tajiri v.s Coach: I see no reason for Coach to go over here. Tajiri wins.

Benjamin v.s Flair: Hmm....this is a tougher one than I thought. Benjamin, I guess.

Edge v.s Kane: Edge wins in his return match, thus making Kane even more obsolete.

Jericho v.s Christian/Trish: The heels win, and the feud plays out for ANOTHER month.

Victoria v.s Lita: Hopefully, Victoria.

Orton v.s Mick: I could see Mick winning, but like OFB said, I CAN'T see him winning the IC title. Orton wins.

Benoit v.s Trips v.s Michaels: I'll take Benoit, but I can totally see Vince screwing the Canadian fans again with a Trips or even HBK win.

Cactus wins the IC title for a night. I realize that this probably won't happen but it doesn't make any sense to me that Orton would beat Cactus Jack in a streetfight with no help.

Shelton over Flair

I'd have Christian/Trish win but they aren't going to

Coach, somehow

I'd think they would add another match to the PPV during Heat, but the top two matches should get plenty of time, and there has to be time for copious amounts of EUGENE HILARITY! Poor Batista always gets left out.

Benoit/HHH/HBK: Benoit.

Cactus/Orton: The whole story so far is that Orton CAN NOT beat Foley on his own. I pick Orton, which makes Foley "go nuts" and Mankind returns.

Benjamin/Flair: Benjamin.

Lita/Victoria: Lita, and then the WWE wonders why Hot Topic doesn't sell their merchandise.

Jericho/Christian: Christian, after a good long match, and interferance so we get a new person for Jericho to feud with.

Edge/Kane: Edge.

national honor society: "It's a okay card on paper"

Isn't it by far the best single brand card they've put together? There's little there once you get past the top three matches, but none of the other shows had anything close.

osh: "if I had my way he'd be blindsided by the reunited T & A after the bell."

O M G that would rule a little bit. I think T&C are winning or Jericho will pin Trish (which preserves Christian) because why do a four month buildup to a one-month feud.

World title: Benoit - no way they do such a great build up to his eventual win only to take the belt away from him so fast.

IC title: Orton - everyone's been saying that Foley is booking the majority of this angle, which leads me to believe they'll do the right thing. No way they spend nearly six months building this up so they can feed Orton, HHH's prodigal son, to a retiree.

Kane vs. Edge: Edge - watch the show and tell me: which guy is getting a push right now?

Jericho vs. Christian/Trish: Jericho - this angle has run it's course, and Jericho (the face) should have the blow-off victory. Time to move Christian/Trish on and see what they can get for themselves.

Flair vs. Benjamin: Benjamin - two reasons: 1. Flair never beats anybody when it matters and 2. Losing to Flair here kills Benjamin's push way too early. Benjamin is gaining momentum by the week, no way they do anything to slow that now.

Victoria vs. Lita: Victoria - Lita goes from nowhere to challenger for the womens title? Not buying it. The fans like her so she'll be a credible win for Victoria. Only possible switch would involve a heel turn/Mattitude reunion, but I don't see that happening.

Tajiri vs. Coach: Tajiri - no explanation, not even worth it.

I like ecwfan's idea of having Johnny Nitro getting involved in the Edge vs Kane match causing a disqualification but I disagree on who gets DQ'ed. You say Edge but that means Nitro would have to attack Kane, something which I don't see happening as Nitro is being portrayed as a cowardly apprentice. Something about Nitro says to me "superstar in the making" and I for one hope he gets some sort of major push. And what better way to start than a feud with Edge.
