TENNESSEE TITANS 2004 SCHEDULE

9/12 @ Miami
9/19 Indy
9/26 Jacksonville
10/3 @ San Diego
10/11@ Green Bay MNF
10/17 Houston
10/24@ Minnesota
10/31@ Cinncinatti
11/7 Bye
11/14 Chicago
11/21@ Jacksonville
11/28@ Houston
12/5 @ Indy
12/13 Kansas City MNF
12/19@ Oakland
12/25 Denver
1/2 Detroit

* Who did we piss off to have to play the Dolphins at Home in September.

*We have Indy & Jax at early which is good.

*We play San Diego for the first since we became the Titans.

*The Battle Mississippi......in Wisconsin on MNF. These could be a GOTY candidate if both Favre and McNair are on.

*We play three straight road games against divisonal rivals. I think that we're the only team that plays three straight road games.

*After that we run the AFC gauntlet, Vs. KC on MNF,Oakland @ Oakland(again) and Vs. Denver on Christmas night.

*Then we finish with the powerhouse......Detroit Lions.

    That is could be a rough season. Big question marks I see are Oakland and Tampa. Having Vick come to Arrowhead is much better than playing him on the turf of the Georgia Dome. Living out in CA, I like the six nationally televised games, especially the three Monday nighters.

yep my wife is going to flip out when I tell her I will not be at the family christmas party because of a game!!!!!

Apparantly the same people that Miami pissed off the year before to have to go to Nashville and get their asses kicked.

That was the same weekend the Vols beat UM, too. :(

Well I expected this schedule to be a lot more difficult than last years. While you never know these days what teams will turn from bad to good or the other way around, this doesn't seem that terrible. Getting New England, Tampa Bay and Philly at home is helpful.

What?
The defending Super Bowl champs don't even get to host a Monday Night Football game?
I guess the Thursday night season opener can sort of be considered like a Monday night game.

Let's see what the DETROIT LIONS got

Sep. 12 - @ Chicago
Sep. 19 - v. Houston
Sep. 26 - v. Philadelphia
Oct. 10 - @ Atlanta
Oct. 17 - v. Green Bay
Oct. 24 - @ NY Giants
Oct. 31 - @ Dallas
Nov. 7 - v. Washington
Nov. 14 - @ Jacksonville
Nov. 21 - @ Minnesota
Nov. 25 - v. Indianapolis
Dec. 5 - v. Arizona
Dec. 12 - @ Green Bay
Dec. 19 - v. Minnesota
Dec. 26 - v. Chicago
Jan. 2 - v. Tennessee

Jan. 8/9 - wild card
Jan. 15/16 - divisional
Jan. 23 - NFC championship
Feb. 6 - Super Bowl
Feb. 13 - Lion-filled Pro Bowl

Realistically, I think it's nice that the NFL gave us a shot at starting 2-0 and trying to get some people interested in the team, but that could become 2-6 really quick. Or 0-8.

Ehhh. It's just going to be another long season.

You know, if it weren't for the network-induced Labor Day game between UM and FSU, that's about the period in the schedule when the Miami-FSU game usually would be.

THAT would have been a fun week of snipping back and forth :P

No Monday night game again, huh?

And EVERY single game begins at 1:00 pm (except the Turkey Day game) meaning I can't show up early at Ford Field and start drinking to numb the pain.

Also probably means lots of Curt Menafee- and Tim Green-commentated games. Talk about motivation to become a better team.

    • The Broncos' first-ever regular-season game against the Houston Texans;
    • Denver's first regular-season game in Nashville, and first Christmas Day game since 1999;
    • A trip to Cincinnati for the Bengals' first Monday night home game since 1997;
    • The Broncos' only game at Tampa Bay this decade;
    • A prime-time game against Oakland for the sixth consecutive season and ninth in the past 10;
    • A designated nationally televised home game against the REIGNING AND DEFENDING NFC CHAMPIONS;
    • Vick's first visit to Denver, provided he doesn't get his leg broken again.

The Broncos in New Orleans ? and Ole Miss at LSU the night before ? Oh yeah, I know which game I'm roadtripping to this year.

That Xmas Day game could be brutal - they never play well on National TV.

Nice. They get to prove that last season's improvement was a fluke twice on nationally televised night games. The only easy-ish game I see in the whole bunch is the Jets, and I'd call Miami, New England, and Philadelphia completely unwinnable.

Looks like a return to 6-10 or 5-11.
