This is so my favorite thing to cross-post.

This will be the third year I am doing this. I fear when Dean starts making the list for me in a few years. Meanwhile, Mr. Rasmussen better pray Jerry Rice and Morten Anderson never retire.

These are all taken straight from the NFL.com rosters (obviously some folks won't be playing next fall but that is next fall). For reference, Dean's birthday was Tuesday, April 12, 1966

Morten Anderson - Kansas City Chiefs (Born 8/19/1960)
Darren Bennett - Minnesota Vikings (Born 1/9/1965)
Steve Beuerlein - Baltimore Ravens (Born 3/7/1965)
John Carney - New Orleans Saints (Born 4/20/1964)
Chris Chandler - St. Louis Rams (Born 10/12/1965)
Doug Flutie - San Diego Chargers (Born 10/13/1962)
Sean Landeta - St. Louis Rams (Born 1/6/1962)
Jerry Rice - Oakland Raiders (Born 10/13/1962)
Vinny Testaverde - New York Jets (Born 11/13/1963)
Rod Woodsen - Oakland Raiders (Born 3/10/1965)

Just to be fair - Here are the guys the same age as Dean
Tim Brown - Oakland Raiders (Born 7/22/1966)
Jeff Feagles - New York Giants (Born 8/7/1966)
Rich Gannon - Oakland Raiders (Born 1/20/1966)
Jason Garrett - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Born 3/28/1966)
Chris Mohr - Atlanta Falcons (Born 5/11/1966)
Rodney Peete - Carolina Panthers (Born 3/16/1966)
Tom Tupa - Washington Redskins (Born 2/6/1966)

And to be even fairer - here are guys who are Free Agents who haven't been signed yet (and I missed their retirement announcements)
Trace Armstrong (Born 10/5/1965)
Bryan Barker (Born 6/28/1964)
Ray Brown (Born 12/12/1962)
Jerry Fontenot (Born 11/21/1966)
Otis Smith (Born 10/22/1965)
Dan Stryzinski (Born 5/15/1965)
Wesley Walls (Born 3/26/1966)

My bad - I was looking at the Ravens roster after I had typed Beuerlein. It should be Denver Broncos.

The list would be....

Morten Anderson - Kansas City Chiefs (Born 8/19/1960)

And actually Morten is younger than Pieman since Pieman was born in February.

God Bless Morten Anderson

Morten Anderson is 22 years older than me to the day. I'm pretty sure he's been kicking in the NFL longer than I've been alive.

I was going to fess up, brother. Morten is the last one that is still playing that was even born in the same YEAR I was born. Thanks, Phil. Jackass.

I'm sticking with baseball. As long Julio Franco keeps going, I'm good.

Jesse Orosco HAS to be older than you. (Maybe on Pie-Man's birthday we should do Current NFL Coaches Older Than Pie-Man.)

But isn't Jesse retired/out of work? He was my boss' saving grace, too.

Funnily enough - Ted Washington was also born on April 12 but in 1968. Of course, since he is on the Raiders, he is actually really young.

Phifer was also born in 1968.

And yes Jesse Orosco retired. So Julio Franco (and Rickey Henderson - when he ends up playing for someone in August) give hope to a lot of people.

Jesse Orosco retired out of boredom. He can STILL get guys out and can probably come from the fishing boat to the mound five years from now and do the same. The moral of this story would be to raise your children to be left handed if possible. It's kinda inconvenient but it raises their chances to pitch in the majors.

And, there are probably a few Cuban pitchers older than Pieman if you go by actual age rather than listed age.
