However, his willingness to completely make fun of himself and everything that's been said about him made for some hilarious TV.
Hats off to Wayne Brady for showing no ego and to Dave Chappelle for making Wayne Brady funny. | Promote this thread! | | Von Maestro

While his talk show is horrible, his stuff on "Who's Line..." is almost always good & often great. The guy is seriously talented, & based on some of his references & improvisational skills, VERY smart. Colin Mochrie is the reason to watch that show, but Wayne is definitely one of the ingredients that makes the show work.
That show is probably the only reason to ever watch ABC Family!! :-) | astrobstrd

I woke up my parents laughing when he broke the cop's neck. Seems as if everyone is trying to get on Chappelle's Show (this week had not only Brady, but Nick "You Just Got Served" Cannon, and Big Boi).

I'm actually talking about the American version.
While I'm with you on Ryan, I just didn't find Lawrence & Slattery all that funny. Colin & Ryan are like a modern day Harvey Corman & Tim Conway from their Carroll Burnett Show days. Those guys are amazing together.
Also, while I was never a big fan of Drew Carey, he makes the show so much more enjoyable than Clive Anderson. Drew has one of those infectious laughs & genuinely seems to be amused by some of the sketches.
If you just need a laugh, I would watch any of the American versions with Wayne, Colin, Ryan & the very funny Brad Sherwood. :-) | Reverend J Shaft

Tyrone falling asleep in the casket of insects was predictable but funny as hell. Big Boi got off a pretty good one liner too, "We're going roller skating on the moon bitch!" And Nick Cannon and Wayne Brady showing up to tie in past skits was sweet. | uberlou

I watch "Whose Line..." off an on. Just whenever I get a chance. I tried watching the UK version but never really got into it. I'm a big fan too of Colin and Ryan. those two are a riot. I think my favorite combo has to be Ryan, Colin, Wayne, and Greg Proops. Maybe that's just because they're the most common combo. I dunno. | Iago

Probably about 82% of the time you tune into Comedy Central between now & next Wednesday. ;-)

According to TVTome.com the show has one more episode to go this season. Plus it also says Chappelle show has been picked up for a 3rd season in case anyone didn't know.

Yikes! I forgot they had an American version with Drew. I've worked nights for so long that I don't really catch network sitcoms. I only catch South Park and Chappelle's Show because they repeat them all week.

It probably made my opinion of her all the more biased.

| #15 Posted on 9.4.04 0325.07 Reposted on: 9.4.11 0325.22 | I totally agree with the awesomeness of last night's episode. I just checked out the season 1 dvd, and I have to say that this season is definitely leaps and bounds ahead of the other one (as with any good tv show IMO). I thought that the first season was really hit and miss, with the Player Haters' Ball, R.Kelly's 'I Wanna Pee On you', and the intro of Tyrone being great, but episodes like The Real World skit, Ask A Black/Gay Guy segments, and Trading Spouses being a little flat.
Whereas this season, we've had a bunch of "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong" shorts, The Three Faces of Dave, (the hilarious) A Moment With Little John stuff, the Rick James skit, The Racial Draft, and now "Wayne Brady: Bad Ass Mother" to name a few. It seems like they've definitely struck the right balance between being satirical, offensive, and funny. (Which makes sitting through the horrendously long and frequent commercial breaks bearable.)
I have a white friend who started watching the show this season and oddly enough, finds the white jokes the funniest. I also noticed that a recurring theme this season seems to be Dave leaving the show (last night's episode, and the one where Oprah's his baby's mama). I found that kind of ominous, but since they're apparently going ahead with a third season I don't feel the need to worry. | Teppan-Yaki

Wow...I thought season 1 was hit or miss too, but I think my hit/miss list is the exact opposite of yours (Aside from the R. Kelly segment). The other highlights from that season are the "Make A Wish" skit ("Its too REAL for ya!") and Popcopy ("Hell yeah, I suck toes.") | fuelinjected
