Halftime on the first couple games. Kent St is beating okl. st. by 9, kent. is beating valpo by 19, and mizzou hasn't reached halftime yet but was up by 9.

Not too bad for my picks so far. But the games are not over yet. C'mon Okl. St.

Who's this "Keith Bogans" character that had 10 in the first half for the Wildcats??
Seriously, I can't wait to get home...The first two days of the tournament should be national holidays every year.

I was *so* close to going with Missouri but changed my mind after checking out Miami's season. Oh well 1-for-3 so far (Thank you, Kent State.) I really thought Valpo would play much better but they just couldn't deal with UK's defense.

This Pepperdine-Wake game is quite good. 72-70 with 3:00 to go. Go Waves!

With Wake Forest winning that gives me 3 for 4 and hopefully marquette can pull it out too....

marquette is still up in the air.... but the alabama win gives me another notch...

i'm glad i went with mizzou because i also took them to win in the next round if they play against ohio st.

Well, good to see so many upsets in the first round today, just because it makes the selection committee look like the morons they are. Especially when it comes from teams that I actually picked to win. 5 of 6 so far for me, though, missing Pepperdine only (and why didn't CBS show me any of the second half of that game? It looked like it was pretty close until the end...)

Very interesting to see Alabama have to fight so hard throughout most of the game.

Kentucky fans FINALLY exhaled today. I only got to listen to the game today (and then around trying to, you know, work and stuff), but Bogans finally had a good game and Tayshaun played good D. Fitch even played. Maybe Team Turmoil has a chance. Bring on Tulsa!

Time now to root for the rest of the SEC teams (except Georgia who is playing my Alma Mater).

I wish I would have taken today off of work too. My life gets even less fun, I'm going to Indianapolis tomorrow for one week of bank compliance training. Ten plus hours a day of regulations and only the slimmest chances of catching the late games. Damn real world.

Whew!! My Buckeyes just barely pulled that one out. The game against Missouri is going to be tough though. Whoever the lead announcer was during the Ohio State game, he was really pulling for an upset. I guess thats how most announcers are but you really notice it when it seems like he is rooting against your team.

So much for neutral announcing. I too think the mizzou/ohio st. game is going to be tough. Mizzou is coming off a great win though.

Chuckc14 i'm hoping we both have good picking skills then. LoL

I'm doing so-so with the upsets. I picked Valpo (just like Phil the Showkiller's Mom), but also picked Mizzou. The one that killed me is Pepperdine, which I had upsetting Oregon.

I had Pepperdine over Oregon, as well, but luckily that's the only things I've had wrong so far. Of course, I still have Arizona winning it all, so I won't be comfortable until they beat Gonzaga...

Games like the ones late this afternoon and early this evening are why I love this tournament and take off the first two days to watch them all every year!!!!

Willard and his Crusaders gave Kansas a scare eh? Of course, if the refs had called the game right down the middle, it might have even been closer.

I don't know how my brackets are doing so far, but I think they probably suck. Same as it ever was. 10 years ago I got 30 of the first 32 games right (ended up finishing second {damn you Duke]) and have never done that well agayne.

At least UK got past the frist round. CBS should have switched over to some of the closer games going on tho. The rabid Cats fan that I am, I even realized that.

NOOOO!! I had Wyoming upsetting Gonzaga but then switched it at the last minute.

My other two last minute changes were good though, I originally had Davidson and Florida Atlantic beating Ohio State and Alabama, thank goodness I switched those two at the last minute.

Although I think I put Alabama going to far, I don't think they'll get past Kent State now.

If USC losses I'm screwed, damn you USC, I knew I shouldn't trust a Pac 10 team.

So Wyoming beat Gonzaga. Interesting. Guess how much of it CBS showed here...If you guessed absolutely zero, you are right. Stupid CBS, and they are usually extremely good about things like that. Must be a down year for them.

BTW, Drew, you have 6 out of 11 so far according to your Yahoo bracket.

I hate CBS (as stated in the other thread) because they're forcing me to watch a Duke game instead of the Arizona game (go CATS!) or the USC/UNC-Wilmington game, which is in overtime, and I have 3 friends who go to UNC-W. ARGH, stupid stupid CBS. I hate them.
