Mike Maroth was probably the happiest guy in the world yesterday to actually get a win when he he was starting. I-Rod rulz.

| #3 Posted on 7.4.04 2136.04 Reposted on: 7.4.11 2136.40 | If the Tigers finish .500 this year, they should waive the 5 year rule and induct I-Rod into the Hall of Fame next year. Now, on the other side of the coin: Is Tosca's job on the line for the Blue Jays this weekend in Boston? I don't think J.P., with the high 80's win expectations, will be very patient if they start 1-5 or 0-6. | Reverend J Shaft

Oh great. Thanks a lot. Here the Tigers were, about to go 162-0 and you had to go and jinx it. Sheesh.
Man, there are already thousands of people drunk in downtown Detroit this morning for the home opener (and I almost ran over two of them on the way to work). | MARTYEWR

Don't get too excited. They played my Blue Jays (OMEG YAH I DO OWN THEM!!!), who had 8, 6, and 5 hits respectively in the first, second, and third games.
The Jays' lousy offense is exactly what the Tigers' pitching staff needed to start the season. | SC

That lousy offense that finished second in runs scored in the American League last year. I mean, you know, seriously, some of us should be so lucky to have such a lousy offense. | JoshMann
