Put this down as one of the most appropriate match-ups in Rock and Roll history!

Reports all over the place are saying that Justin Hawkins, lead singer of The Darkness, will front for Queen in an up-coming 30th anniversary concert.

Hawkins is the closest thing going these days to Freddy Mercury. Great match. This show is going to RAWK. This is good for Queen fans and Darkness fans alike, and I'm both.

I remember when Queen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Dave Grohl fronted the band that night and it was FANTASTIC.

Well, I don't get all my news from the internet. This story was reported on a television news channel. I couldn't find the story on their website (it was a minor story), so that's why I didn't link to it.

I guess if the BBC can be fooled, then I don't feel so bad about being fooled myself.

Too bad. It would have been a great show.

Mea culpa.

Thank Christ for that. Hawkins' voice is nowhere near the level of Freddie's.
