ALAS, It looks like a MERGE aint happening for a while, and that they repick teams next week. THAT may be interesting. Leave it as two tribes until like 6 people are left. THAT may just well be the greatest "twist" ever.
And, Another week with Jenna on my TV!

Of course Survivor cameras edit a ton, but I would have to believe that Jerri does NOTHING for her tribe. Then Jerri goes and loses the challenge, and she's worth saving?
And how about the slap to the face by Lex. No good Jerri is first spared, and Lex actually tells Ethan this. Then at tribal council, he further emasculates Ethan by asserting that Ethan should not be worried about being a past winner and a strong player. Gee, Lex, that is exactly why you are getting rid of Ethan, and you TOLD HIM SO JUST A FEW HOURS EARLIER!
Forget it, I'm now rooting for Boston Rob all the way. Lex just entered the Sue/Rich heel zone to me. | Bullitt

I'm sure they all saw it in Stuff magazine years ago anyway!

Whoever goes against Robfather in the final 2 should win. Only one who might not would be Lex, as I think he will start to rub some of the other tribe the wrong way after the merge. | StaggerLee

Same here. I live in north of Boston near the NH border and I don't know anyones accent that's as bad as his. He sounds like he walked right out of one of those SNL "NO-Mah" skits.

I agree on that one. Elisabeth is "smokin" for sure.

I think you missed the point of what Lex was saying. He was saying that should a winner actually make it to the final 2, he(she) would have an excellent chance of winning votes since the odds was so much against that person. This was to counter Ethan's assertion that someone should carry a winner to the final 2 since there would be no way that anybody would vote for a former champion to win again. Ethan basically was trying to make a case that he wasn't a threat, and Lex was saying that he was (and didn't say, but was thinking 'that's why we have to vote you out')
Now I'm not sure Lex made the right move here. I'm sure he's thinking he has a loyal vote with Jerri, and also she is not a threat to him, so she's good to keep around. But he probably could have had a loyal vote with Ethan. Yes, he is a threat. But looking at an alliance of Lex, Jerri, Shii-Ann, and Kathy, well the target has to be square on Lex's back if you want to break that alliance up. He could have kept Ethan around as a kind of a shield for himself, to deflect attention away, as Ethan would probably draw the fire. And Ethan doesn't have nearly the annoying personality that Jerri has, which may end up breaking up his alliance if Shii-Ann and Kathy simply can't take it anymore.
Of course, all of this appears irrelevant now since it looks like there is going to be a tribe swap. Wonder if they will go all Apprentice and not only swap members, but also even up the sides? | Torchslasher

I didn't really miss the point so much as not agree with it. Ethan has already won the million, and there is NO WAY with all the attitudes of the all stars that he would have been given the win. They had pretty much admitted as such with the whole strategy in the beginning of voting off the winner. I don't believe that Ethan winning the final immunity challenges would have changed this view.
I was mostly though talking about Lex telling Ethan that because he was a strong player that he would eliminated but then going to council and acting like being a strong player and past winner would help him. It obviously didn't help him this time. | ges7184

I still don't think that is what Lex was saying. He was saying that due to the fact that he was a strong player and past winner, and therefore would be targeted (and in fact, be hurt by those facts, not helped), that should that player by some miracle make it to the finals, that player would win since they would be most deserving. He was not saying that being a past winner and strong player helped him NOW. He was afraid it would help him down the road should he allow him to stay in the game.
That said, I agree with you. All other things being equal, there is no way a former champion gets awarded the million again. Lex was wrong about this. And at any rate, even if being a former champ did help in the final 2, I see no reason why it helps a second before that. Ethan was a dead-man walking, and has been the whole season. Lex would have had opportunities down the road to take him out. He should have kept him around to protect himself until protection was no longer needed.
