An explanation would help me make sense of this. Is it the presence of Bill Cosby at ownership meetings? (Pudding pops ruled. I miss them.) | Promote this thread! | | chuckc14

Did Yinka ever get that first assist? I guess I'll have to go look that up... | Notorious F.A.B.

but hey, the celtics were second in the east for a while and they're steadily climbing back up. and that's... a good thing. | dunkndollaz

Nets are running away with the East with an exciting brand of basketball but come playoff time they will have to watch out for the Sixers - who seem to be laying low for the stretch run.
As good as the Nets may be this year, the NBA champ will come out of the West - either LA or Sacto with Dallas & San Antonio looming as possible spoilers | Notorious F.A.B.

1. Yinka Dare did get an assist although i couldn't tell you when it was or how many he finished with, but i remember seeing it.
2. I wouldn't say the Nets are running away with the East they are only 3 and half games ahead and are on a 4 game losing streak. And the only reason it's not even closer than that is because Detroit (2nd) and Milwaukee (3rd) are both on losing streaks as well. Boston (4th and won 4 in a row) and Philly (5th and won 3 in a row) could pass them up and i wouldnt' be surprised to see one or both of them finish ahead of the Nets.
3. I agree that the West will win the title, but I think Dallas should be considered with LA and Sacramento, afterall they have the most wins in the NBA. As for a sleeper, I think Portland has a better chance than San Antonio. | SerWolfe
