The punk veteran was also famous for his work with Sex Pistol John Lydon's Public Image Limited.
Steven Severin, bass player for the Banshees, said in a statement on his website: "I was shocked and saddened to hear that John passed away in his sleep last Thursday. Although we hadn't worked together for a long time and I hadn't seen him for a couple of years he was always in my heart and often in my thoughts."
He added: "Without doubt the most inventive guitarist of our generation and my favourite Banshee. Love to all his friends and family. Bye John."
According to press reports, McGeoch qualified as a nurse in 1995 after giving up performing. However, he continued to work on music for television. Promote this thread! | | edge2333a

Just watch the roll call at the Oscars every year, not to mention music. That's why it's unfair to compare wrestling deaths to other sports. It's more in line with entertainment deaths. It sucks, but it's the nature of the beast. | DrDirt

It's true in all walks of life. It just seems entertainers are more tortured or whatever than the rest of society. Last I heard, dentists had the highest suicide rate. Sometimes it's great to be nobody. | Whitebacon

How many actors though are in their forties when they die? At least 80 per cent of the actors in the montage at the Oscars are very old. That's quite a difference than what pro wrestling has going on. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
