-JeriTrish, LatinoShow on MadTV- Jericho, Trish, Eddie & BigShow are on MadTV next week, they will be talking to a Jay Leno character. Y2J flubs lines, also suggest something into a skit about John Kerry which the writers aggress to. Trish talks about how much of a stretch is to play herself, but she "thinks she nailed herself, wait she means did herself well, oh that sounds bad too"(No Trish that sounds very nice LoL)... Staff say BigShow can be the next Tom Hanks, their both 12 feet tall you know. BigShow in a clam voice says for them to stop being scared of him, which makes them even more nervous. Eddie is just freaking out over the Leno guy. Y2J talks about wanting to see "Jay" without makeup as Trish walks slowly towards Y2J as he points & says "Ah there he is". JeriTrish talk about seeing the film "A Mighty Wind" together. Trish makes fun of Y2J as he marks to a MadTv producer who was part of that film.
-The First Wrestlemania- But first Mean Gene goes through all the lastest inductees including Pete Rose, shows clippings from newscasts talking about it, of course editing out all snide remarks from the casters (Man WWE marks out getting their name in the press)... Onto Wrestelmania 1, Brisco was somewhat confident in the idea as Bruce Prichard who wasn't working in the Fed at the time thought it was a horrible idea. Adding actors with wrestlers was a risk but turned out to be a great move. They show clips of the stars in WM1 and the main event. We also got comments from Snuka and Bobby Hennan.
-Everything you want to know about Angle's finishers- They do this feature a couple of times on Confidential already, I'm not really feeling the "How I apply my move segment" but here it. Kurt Angle talks about how he applies his finishers the AngleSlam and the AnkleLock... He likes doing the Anklelock more and he gets really intense while doing it. Little did you know face. That the AngleSlam was called the OlympicSlam but the IOC didn't want anyone to use the word Olympic.
-Noble "By Gawd" Noble- He actually is treated someone was one when he visit as everyone flocks to him treating him like the biggest star EVER. He passes out autographs like it's candy on Halloween... He checks out the Souvenir stand wants to bring home a big spike but doesn't think he can get it passed customs. Looked at some art on ostrich eggs and other South African artsy stuff.
-Vault: Wendi Richter vs. Leilani Kai- This segment took about 4 and a half minutes with most of the foucs actually on Cindy Lauper who was managing Richter and Moolah who's managing Leilani... Finish came when Kai went for a (not so) high crossbody from the top with a very slow rollthough by Richter for the pinfall victory. After match Mean Gene interviews Richter and Lauper as they call Leilani Kai a cow (ahhh as more things change)
-Monday Night Wars dirty plays- Good segment to end the show. Brisco talks about how WWE staff couldn't stand Bischoff as Eric gave away results, they thought it was dirty tactics. Bischoff says he loved getting people POed. He says it was only business and not to take it personally. They talk about Alundra Blaze throwing the Women title in the trash, Bischoff says it was all his idea but Blaze is probably paying the price right now... They talk about Billionaire Ted, Huckster, Nacho Man and Scheme Gene. Gene talks about it might have been a shot at his crappy WCW hotline (you think). Strangely enough Ted Turner was the person who took least offense to it and actually made him more interested in the Monday Night Wars.
Very good Confidential this week, with great bookends to the show. Opening segment really worked, you got 4 personable people which makes it fun to watch. Don't know how good the skit will be but the backstage stuff was fun. Jericho & Trish once again look very cool together & have this real nice chemistry and comfort with eachother as they joke around. Last segment was good as well as Eric seemed like his weasely unapologetic self, Ted Turner reaction was interesting... The middle of the show wasn't as great but there was some solid segments like talking about the first Wrestlemania and the Richter/Kai match was good for a viewing. Seeing the reaction to Noble in South Africa is certainly not something you'd probably see in North America. Even the Angle wrestling moves story had some interesting parts concerning the OIC not allowing the tern OlympicSlam.
There you go, a little late but thought it was a good enough show to post a thread on. Did anyone else see it, what did you like, what didn't you like.

I usually avoid Mad TV like the plague, but I'll tune in to see the comedy stylings of the Big Show. As long as he gets exposure throw the WWE machine, I really don't see why he can't land more comedic roles, because he's not too bad.

It was Jamie Knoble night! First, he has a *fantastic* match w/ London on Velocity, then gets treated like a king in S. Africa. Good for him, he's often overshadowed by the likes of Rey, Tajiri, Kidman despite being one of the best workers in the company.
Thumbs up for the former Jung Dragon Jamie-san.
