If I was Kevin Smith I'd probably wait a little while before putting his best buddy Affleck into another one of his movies.

Isn't it interesting in Hollywood how people like Affleck can win Academy Awards as well as Razzies? I mean to me that distinction is just interesting because you go from winning an Academy Award for Good Will Hunting to sweeping the Razzies for Gigli.

What's even weirder is when some movies will get nominated for Academy Awards AND Razzies. I guess there's just a thin line between greatness and shit

Well, Ben's not much of an actor. He's about good enough to play a sidekick, or do tv acting. Also, he couldn't pick a good script if he had Matt Damon do it for him. I liked Good Will Hunting, so after what I've seen of his "acting" career, I wish he'd stick to writing scripts.

Ben Affleck won an Academy Award for WRITING.
Matt Damon won an Academy Award for WRITING and was nominated for ACTING.

Who's the better actor? Guess!

Or winning Best Picture and getting nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Actor for Rocky then going on to have 10 career Razzies.

Thank you for enlightening me. Never before had I seen the parallels between Stallone's career and Affleck's. But WOW. My eyes are now opened. That's unreal.

Of course, that doesn't stop Hollywood from hyping films with Ben Affleck as "Starring Academy Award Winner Ben Affleck". Like "Bounce", starring Academy Award winners Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck.

NOW they can advertise "Reindeer Games", starring Academy Award winners Ben Affleck and Charlize Theron and Academy Award nominee Gary Sinise. LOL.

While I'm not a huge Ben Affleck fan (the posters on my wall don't count), I don't think he's all that terrible ... He's just getting a bap rap because he was in the news every 15 seconds in 2003 ... Maybe now he can at least get back on track to making bad movies with Gwyneth as opposed to terrible movies with J-Lo.

Afflecks problem is that he was associated with Good Will Hunting as an actor. If he hadnt acted in it, and THEN started making films, people wouldnt think so terribly about him. He just had that whole phase where everything he made turned to shit, and people just keep hiring him for some reason. The last movie he was in that I liked was DOGMA, and he was just part of an ensemble cast there.

The thing about all of this though is that Gigli is being talked about again. How many people will rent the dvd now just to see for themselves how bad it actually is? Show of hands here...mine's up

May I be so bold as to predict a GIGLI sweep??

I gave the movie all of 45 minutes and that was because Ben Affleck was in it. He's a handsome guy, but I definately think he's overrated. Between him and Matt Damon, Damon is the better talent.

Second to that would be FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY because neither Clarkson or Guarini are actual actors. Just pawns of the machine that we call American Idol.

I wrote this back when the nominations were posted and I'll be damned if I wasn't right. But this wasn't hard to do. Everyone knew it would happen, but I wrote it first. So

It's False

Can't go wrong (er, right?) with Bad Boys II. I can't believe that piece of garbage got off without a single Razzie.

Prequel dude. Not a sequel. Dumb and Dumberer was a prequel to dumb and dumber, not a sequel.
