Yeah the Babe was in great shape... I think it's called round!
If you see a picture of him in Boston he was a lot skinnier, but this was a guy who'd booze, and smoke, and stay up all hours of the night with like a half dozen women, and then proceed to hit two home runs in a game.
But like it's been said, the steroids came later. And really most 'roid freaks aren't known for being as charismatic as the Babe was.

Not to mention swing a what, 44-ounce bat? Back then the school of thought was: heavier bat=more power. Imagine what the Bambino could've done with the increased bat speed of a nice 34-oz. Louisville Slugger...

Kent is definitlely a moron. that old "washing my truck" story solidifies it, besides the steroid accusations. Yeah, Kent makes me want to root against the 'Stros, but being in the company of several obnoxious Cub fans makes me root for Houston to win the Central.
