Anyway, what's the deal with the tags that mark new users where the little flags go? I mean, we can see by the number of posts who the new users are. It seems like it is singling out people, rather meanly, for no reason. We were all new users once, and not all new users feel the need "ti tpye liek thiss allthe tme!!!1!" Yeah, so I made this tag that marks new users, and it goes where the little flags go.
72 hours after registration, a flag will be displayed instead. It's not a big deal. | Zeruel

So, if someone made 1 post when the board first opened, then lurked the rest of the time, he's a "new" user because he has 1 post to his name? One can't always go by the post count.
I like the tag.

That is a very cool feature. It's great how you and Guru keep adding new features to the board. | Cerrita

| #5 Posted on 28.2.04 2141.27 Reposted on: 28.2.11 2141.29 | I think it's a good idea as well. That way, if a new user jumps into the middle of a thread, others reading will be able to understand why the person doesn't understand everything that is going on, and isn't some ignorant lurker that finally decided to talk. (no insult meant at all by that, of course.)
It's like the 'easy on the new guy' consept.

Sometimes i think the only reason this board is still up is because they want to see how much cool shit they can add to it. | Cerrita

Hey, that's cool. As long as the board stays up, I'm happy.
