I always thought that the Eliminators "TOTAL ELIMINATION" was the most brutal looking tag team finishers around. Plus Kronus did the 450 all the time. Juvi couldnt hold a candle to Kronus back in the day!

Worst Finish? Anything by Rey Mysterio.

Best quick finisher: Stunner. No doubt, nothing gets the crowd more pumped than a Stunner out of nowhere

Best pinning finisher: Perfectplex. The name says it all

Best top rop finisher: 450 splash, or whatever else its called. the forward spin as opposed to the SSP's backwards spin just makes more sense offensively

Best submission finisher: Sharpshooter. not only does it always get a huge crowd response, but it looks awesome and you can get some great camera angles in there (Bret/Austin)

Best all around finisher: Burning Hammer. Everything that needs to be said about this move already has been said


Sidenote: The pedigree is overrated. After all these years of watching it, sure it has gained some stigma of being unbeatable. But if you sit back and watch it, its really stupid looking. Good thing is, its easy to put non wrestlers in it, because you can easily protect the victim and not make it look horrible (ie Tombstone).

I'm a big fan of the 450 as well, but I seem to recall Juvi messing it up several times. I can remember quite a few times when he'd do the 450 and you could tell he was coming down waaaaaay harder on his opponent than he should've been, and he ALWAYS seemed to be way too close to the turnbuckle.

Then again, that could've been more due to Juvi being a little... "addled" during the match than any actual trouble with the move itself.

Agreed. Outlaw Ron Bass used to use the same move (the Gourd Buster). That oughta tell you something.

Vertebreaker, Unprettier, Dragonrana, Orange Crush bomb, Tiger bomb, SSP, Northern Lights Suplex, Double-arm DDT, Downward Spiral, and Shining Wizard are several faves. Houston Hangover is pretty swank as well. And Rikishi Driver!

Worst: Stratusfaction Bulldog, Mark Henry slam, Worm, Mandible Claw(sorry, just hate the way it looks).

Well, it HAS been a long time since I've seen the 450, I didn't get to watch every Nitro and Thunder back then, and I've only watched WCW and WWE, so I probably missed a lot of the blown attempts. The ones I saw always looked spot on.

Arn Anderson's spinebuster is an old favorite of mine that I haven't seen mentioned yet. I like that twisting motion rather than the falling-forward that everybody uses these days.

Right up there with the Burning Hammer is the Emerald Fusion/Frosion, another one of those really brutal nearly unprotected head bumps.

On the subject of Ronnie Garvin, wasn't he the one who introduced the Figure Four Leglock with the "leg protector" reversed?

Kinda sorta not really...it was Greg Valentine that wore a shinguard to the ring first, and quickly established the psychology that if he turned the thing around (pad on calf rather on shin) that it made the Figure-4 even MORE devastating.

Garvin started wearing a similar shin pad (or "The Hammer Jammer" as he called it) for the same effect AND to neutralize the effect of Valentine's shin guard.

Of course it hasnt been the best finisher ever, but I liked the powerplex by Power & Glory - You know: Hercules doing a suplex from the ropes in one corner and Paul Roma hitting a superfly from another corner.

With the right team doing that and the right timing this could work well for an active team, like perhaps ... TWGTT? Or Booker & RVD! (The Superfly could then be the 5 star frog splash)
