We can hate Trips all we want, but in terms of kayfabe, you know that the guy's not gonna get up after taking one Pedigree.
The Sweet Chin Music is another good example of a fast and effective finisher. | albert44

(hurricane uses it now) Dimond Cutter I think is one of the best becuase when he first did the move it came from no where and just knock you out. Don't care for the RKO because it looks like the lazy verison of the Diamond Cutter. The worst the Stink face is all that comes to mind. Here is what I think the funniest is The Garven Stomp use by Ronney Garven. | Matt Tracker

But the best (the one that was the ever-livin' end, the there's-no-way-he's-getting-up-from-that move) was the Vadersault. Astonishing to behold. | Mayhem

For singles, the Macho Man elbow drop is the most visually arresting. For pure impact I go with the Razor's Edge. | Freeway

I know it's not WWE, but Dr. Hersy's Nipple Twist finisher was on par with a Stink-face or the Worm. Shark Boy's assbite was kinda odd too. | redsoxnation

| #18 Posted on 22.2.04 1801.41 Reposted on: 22.2.11 1801.54 | A great finisher has to be quick and effective, something that can be hit out of nowhere. Pedigree, Sweet Chin Music, Rock Bottom and the Crippler Crossface come to mind.
For painful submissions, the Lasso from El Passo, Haas of Pain and the Brock Lock all look like they could just snap your leg off.
The prettiest move is the Shooting Star Press. It's just graceful, yet deadly. And it proved that Brock Lesnar has an unbreakable skull. God, that hurt to watch. | Iago

| #19 Posted on 22.2.04 1821.49 Reposted on: 22.2.11 1822.44 | My first post... so anyone can ignore my opinions... But I had a few favorite Finishers.
The Kryptonite Krunch by Nova from ECW, I know a lot of other people have used it, but it was interesting, and it looked like it could lead to a concussion.
Also Albert's first finisher, the Gorilla Press into a sit-out power bomb, it looked so damned nasty, too bad he doesn't use it all that much now.
And Kanyon had variation of his Flatliner, the one where he had them sitting on his shoulders, and then kinda powerbombed them face forward.
Those were are my favorites overall, they looked impressive, and were the end of the match. Plus you don't see them too often.
I will take Booker T's Hangover move over SSP, mostly because the SSP is mentioned a lot.
As for submission, yeah Bret Hart's Sharpshooter will stick with me. | TwisterF5

| #20 Posted on 22.2.04 1826.44 Reposted on: 22.2.11 1827.44 | Best: 1) Stone Cold Stunner. Quick and lethal....unless it's the Rock overselling it, as usual. Gotta sell it right. 2) I love the Jackhammer, especially when it's a huge guy taking it. 3) That Brock Lock looks incredibly painful. 4) The Snowplow. A cross between the Jackhammer and a Brain Buster. 5) For some reason, I loved Perry Saturn's Death Valley Driver. Very fluid, unlike that lame-assed FU that Cena does.
Worst: 1) The Worm. Utterly retarded. 2) Booker's Scissors Kick. Yeah, the opponent doesn't look like he's bent over, waiting 2 minutes for him to do it. Same thing goes for the Fame-asser. 3) People's Elbow. 4) Derailer. Looks like it hurt A-Train's knees more than the opponent's back. 5) The FU. Not even the Big Show taking it makes it look impressive. |
