| #1 Posted on 20.2.04 0806.06 Reposted on: 20.2.11 0806.32 | So some may have heard that Canada's Maritimes got some snow yesterday.
They called it a "weather bomb"; parts of Nova Scotia got 90cm of snow in 24 hours. That's 3 feet. The old record was 50.8cm. Winds were in the 60-80km range, gusting to 100km/h. The drifts in my backyard are chest-high. The basement windows are blocked entirely. The province is still under "State of Emergency."
But no storm-related fatalities. Yet, anyway.
I wish I had a digital camera and could provide some images, but I don't so I can't. More info and video clips and stuff can be found at the following places:

The best part is, today is an absolutely gorgeous day. Sunny, not too cold, and, thanks to all this snow, brighter than bright.
Edit: Wa-hey! The CBC has a photo gallery right in the middle of the story I linked to above. Not the best pictures, but it looks like they're adding to it as they get more.
