Kurt Angle seems to be the only one worried about the attacks, anyway. As for the heel turn, that was great - I like how Eddie bleeds to signify a MONSTER heel turn (see C. Guerrero). The crowd was hot too, and that always adds that extra element to the turn. What was the point of the post-match Mysterio run-in? You think they'll set up a Angle/Chavo v Eddie/Rey Rey match next week? Speaking of matches down the road, I'm already drooling over Los Guerreros/Rey Rey v TWGTT/Angle...hmmm...Peace. | redsoxnation

He could have been working with Chavo and Chavo Sr. all along. Think about everything that has happened.
1. It was Kurt that agreed with Chavo when Chavo said Eddy was being selfish to want to be in the Royal Rumble instead of going after the Tag Titles with Chavo (Kurt, of course, didn't want Eddy in the Royal Rumble)
2. It was Kurt that mysteriously showed up to stop Eddy from jumping Chavo after the first time Chavo slapped Eddy.
3. It was Kurt that got Eddy and Chavo the Tag Title match the night Chavo turned on Eddy (and Kurt didn't save Eddy).
4. It was Kurt that introduced Chavo Sr. and set up the situation in which Chavo Sr. turned on Eddy also.
5. When Kurt teamed with Eddy vs. Chavo and Chavo Sr., Kurt "got blinded" for no apparent reason and Angle Slammed Eddy to set him up for Chavo to pin Eddy.
6. Kurt attacked Eddy the night of the SmackDown Rumble and Chavo shows up to take the heat (deflecting any attention from Kurt) while rightfully denying that it was him.
7. Kurt faked his own attack to leave Eddy alone vs. Big Show and Brock Lesnar (John Cena then unexpectedly stepped in to team with Eddy)
8. Kurt, Chavo, and Chavo Sr. faked Chavo Sr.'s attack (and Kurt just happened to be there and in position to take Chavo Sr.'s place as the referee) to set up Kurt's attack on Eddy after Eddy is wore down by Chavo.
Maybe they will also include Paul Heyman in the whole plot also. We might find out next week from a Kurt promo admitting to everything or it could be revealed a piece at a time. Maybe next week Chavo will fake being upset about Kurt ruining his WWE Title shot, Heyman places Eddy as the guest referee of a Kurt vs. Chavo match and then Kurt, Chavo, and Chavo Sr. all jump Eddy when they're all in the ring.
OR...maybe they've got an entirely different storyline here. But, I do think Kurt and Chavo will reveal that they were working together the whole time.

I think Kurt really thought of Los Guerrero's can win the tag title that would keep Eddie out of Kurt's newly grown chest hair. When they didn't beat the Bashams and Chavo finally snapped and turned Kurt went with plan B and try to get these guy as heated with eachother so Eddie attention is else where... No one suspected Angle to have blind sided Eddie so didn't really need Chavo to go there as a scapegoat. Add this week Chavo got little out of not having his father refing the match instead of Kurt. I think Chavo wanted to win the match first and foremost but Kurt went to ref the match for his own self-interest to get his licks in on Eddie before Wrestlemania. Of course 5Horseman you could be in the right, but I never connected Chavo in the plan with Kurt.
Or it could very well be Orlando Jordan, he seems to have nothing better to dot he roam the halls and his initials are O.J... If Hurricane was still on Smackdown he'd be on the case, look to see if someone left some Aris leather gloves. | CANADIAN BULLDOG

He can explain this week how it was HIM who finalized the split between Eddie and Chavo, HIM who convinced Chavo Sr. to attack Eddie and side with his son, HIM who injured Eddie right before the Rumble and HIM who took out Chavo Sr. this past week. He can also explain he faked the injury the other week to avoid his match tagging with Eddie (much like when he had to leave because of the devastating eye injury a few weeks earlier).

After Edge was taken out himself at last years No Way Out by "A mystery attacker". He makes his comeback by showing he has the ruthless aggression to become a top-tier star, and sending a message to heels and faces alike. Also Angle taking the credit sets up an Edge-Angle feud keeping a Big Show-Eddie Guerrero WWE Title match on the first Post WMXX Smackdown! PPV.

I caught that too, and thought it could further be elaborated on in the future. Especially since Cole and Taz kept bantering back and forth as to whether or not Heyman was in on the beatdown. Not to mention Kurt's whole rambling about morals and what America is founded on could be tied in with Heyman's anti-rap ("it's ruining America") deal he had with Cena. Just a thought. | Stilton

Hmmmmmm. No rap. No drugs. No Booze. Basically, the idea that "fun" is "ruining" America. The heels are pushing puritanical conservative values. And it's an election year in the US. The WWE seems to be using conservative rhetoric to turn the fans against Heyman and Kurt. Could they be trying to influence the election? I'm not trying to get on a soapbox about politics here or anything. But there does seem to be a correlation.
