I really don't know how he comes up with this stuff...they could make a 1/2 show just with Charlie Murphy telling stories and then have Chappelle have his own thing...the Rick James episode is arguably the funniest thing I have ever seen
I would argue this show is the best thing on TV right now

My only complaint would be that his musical guests have been MUCH weaker than the ones from last season.
This thread reminds me that I forgot to tape Chapelle last night (dammit!). Well, off to comedy central dot com to see when I can right this wrong of me missing Chapelle.

Also put me in the camp of loving the Charlie Murphy stories, the Prince playing basketball one was awesome, but you can't top Rick James.

So much funny shit too choose from but my fav's so far this year are of course Charlie Murphys stories and the three Daves skit from a few weeks ago. Negrodamus is kind of lame tho. And yes, the Mad Real World is prob the funniest thing I've ever seen on tv.

I probably watched that Rick James episode about 4 or 5 times and couldn't get "I'm Rick James, bitch" out of my head.
One of my favorite recurring characters has to be Tron though. It was good to see Tron back on last night's episode.

| #10 Posted on 20.2.04 0925.58 Reposted on: 20.2.11 0926.44 | This is interesting because I personally think that this season is WAY below last season in terms of laughs. While I hated "Mad Real World," most of the other segments (especially the black white supremisist) were gold. This season, the only skit that I loved was the "draft" for the races.
I hated that the Charlie Murphy stories was stretched into a whole episode. It got so boring and it was such of a one-joke episode that I lost interest after the first segment. The later episode about finding the music that the different races would respond to was dumb as well.
Let me state that even as the second season is underpreforming, it is still better than 90% of the "comedy" shows out there today. I just wish that Chappelle would have come up with better material in the long delay between seasons.

It just looks to me like the show has gotten a bit lazy, particularly Wednesday's ep. It wasn't Chappelle's Show, it was a show where Dave just made an appearence.
I don't know if it's because season 1 set an impossible standard or what, but this has been the most disappointed I can remember being in a show. I've gotten a few chuckles, but nothing has made me LMAO like the first season.
A perfect example of the difference between the two seasons:
