Ozzy trying to figure out his TV remote was so priceless that I had to stop watching the show for fear prolonged viewing would taint the happy memory of Ozzy saying "I just [bleep]ing wanna regular [bleep]ing television...I just turned on the [bleep]ing shower but I can't change the [bleep]ing channel." Too [bleeping] funny.

| #12 Posted on 10.3.02 1608.48 Reposted on: 10.3.09 1620.09 | Ozzy has possibly the best rock'n'roll life stories to tell of pretty much any other artist I can think of. Particularly the Alamo incident ("Fucking limey, how would you like it if I took a piss against Buckingham Palace?" "I wouldn't give a shit mate"). I can't see how giving him a TV show could possibly be a bad thing.
The other honourable mentions I can think of (off the top of my head) is Huey from the Fun lovin' Criminals trying to beat up one of the Hanson kids and the sheer stupidity of Brian from friggin' Westlife trying to kick off against all twenty-something of the So Solid Crew. | Jackson

"Ozzy still can't work his T.V. remote so he decides to play with his rifle. Zach helps dad out by fixing the T.V. and finding a bayonet for the rifle with which he uses to stab various objects around the house."
Oh yeah, Rikodozan, what does that have to do with anything? You think I have to watch TNN all day just to watch Raw? Actually , other than the Real World/Road Rules shit those are some good shows you listed there. Who cares about videos anyway? I don't need little movies to make me like songs. People need to listen to music instead of listening to what Carson Daly tells them to anyway.

| #14 Posted on 11.3.02 1329.47 Reposted on: 11.3.09 1335.15 | i'm old school MTV...back when you'd flick it on and it would have music...i flick it on now, i don't see videos [i would use it for background noise as i did programming homework], i move on...now i don't bother with the channel at all.
you're missing the whole point...i watched [listened] to MTV for music...no music, i move on...
to me, the Osborne Family Show is yet another example as to why i don't watch MTV.
"You think I have to watch TNN all day just to watch Raw?"
no, but when a channel is called MUSIC TELEVISION...and would air music videos almost all day, you expect to see [hear? lol] music...
if TNN were still the NASHVILLE NETWORK [i never watched them before RAW moved, so i'm pulling stuff out of my ass here] and they showed redneck stuff like Dukes of Hazard and the rodeo 24/7 and suddenly there's show on the mating habits of the Asian Elephant on at 8, followed by the mis-adventers of Ace and Skipper, his bush kangaroo, and then at 10, watch MC Hammer bake a cake with Richard Simmons, you'd be a little puzzled, and even put off when you want your redneck stuff. [wow what a run-on....]
see the point? it's 8 years of putting on crap i don't want and gearing the channel to cater to 12-17 year olds that has put me off...[i say that because channel surfing put me on TRL and wow...not my cup o' tea, but all your milage WILL vary] | Jackson

I mean, you sit there and watch and laugh and it's all fun and good, because it is truly hillarious at times (him totally blowing off Elijah Wood was hillarious). But in a way, it's kind of sad really, because watching Ozzy amble around and mumble random things like a stoned out weirdo (which I guess he really is) is kind of unsettling. | Ffej

| #18 Posted on 20.3.02 1846.07 Reposted on: 20.3.09 1847.37 | I will easily bust out the "Best Show Ever" line here. I love this show more than beloved Simpsons or *gasp* Seinfeld. I just became a Dad last week and I am taking notes. Ozzy rocks. And watching Ozzy try to figure out the remote was the greatest 5 minutes in television history. I laugh so hard I cry everytime I watch that show.
As for MTV not showing videos, yeah your right. But that IS why they have MTV2. But its not like there is any music out there that is any good anymore anyway. I mean if you want to watch clowns rap, boy bands dance, white girls act tough, and rappers go on about "bling bling" then music videos are for you. Give me VH1 Classic and Top of the Pops on BBC America and my music fix is ON.
Anyway, the Osbournes rocks. Far and away my favorite show of all time.

It was even funnier when Elijah was cleaning up dog piss. Ozzy actually isn't doing drugs anymore (illegal ones anyway). He isn't stoned but he is definitely burned out. He ambles around cause he had a stroke and he walks like that now. It is kinda sad but even with his complaining he seems like he finds it all funny himself.

I think it's interesting the way they seem to focus more on the family than on Ozzy. He spent most of last week's episode snoring away on the couch while everyone else suffered from the neighbors' music. |
