I really wish my computer could generate a little sound so I can groove to this song all night long. If the anthem was always sung like this we'd never have to fight a war again. | Teppan-Yaki

They did a "duet" with the footage and his daughter, Nona during All-Star Saturday Night. Wasn't bad, and I thought it was better than Christina's rendition Sunday. | Alpha Dog

Marvin's rendition is absolutely incredibly smooth (like The DEAN~!'s sweet sweet booze reviews).
Now, if anyone can get a hold of the Carl Lewis national anthem, we'd really have something... | CRZ

I can't think of anything that even comes close. (MAYBE if we include Emmylou Harris singing "America The Beautiful" at the World Series in 2001...) | Alpha Dog

Awesome! I could listen to this all day. Thanks, Zed. Well done.
"And the rocket's... RED GLARE!" might be the funniest thing ever created.
I respect Carl Lewis' accomplishments as much as the next guy, but anyone who has a running dialogue with the audience whilst "singing" the national anthem should be tried for treason.

Super Bowl XXV at Tampa Stadium (or if you're Chris Berman, "The Big Sombrero.") January 1991...Gulf War I had just started, and Scott Norwood shanked his late field goal attempt, giving Jeff Hostetler (I think Phil Simms was hurt) and the New Jersey Football Giants a world title win over Buffalo...the start of the 4-straight jobbing string.
And yes, Whitney's version was AWESOME. Still gives me goosebumps. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
