I LOVE the idea of Karl Ravech hosting the show; Basball Tonight is deep enough that his abscence won't be noticed (if at all-Kellerman also did Friday Night Fights).

That's too bad. I can handle LeBatard as a guest, but I don't think I'll be able to take him as a host.
Mr. Tony's "good bye speech" was posted on the ESPN Radio site. It is still be there, under the "clips" section of his show - under "Farewell, Tony" http://espnradio.espn.go.com/ espnradio/clipArchive? showID=1058219

Edit: A direct quote from LeBatard on this matter: "No time, no way."

I am really going to miss Satchmo. The trouble he had was many big markets dropped him for local hosts. The reason I like him is he reason he is leaving, much too erudite, sarcastic, and he knows sports isn't everything and would talk about alot of things not directly sports related and talk sports in a larger context. | geemoney

| #33 Posted on 22.2.11 0204.18 | It's funny reading these posts now. Considering how much people seemed to hate him taking over the hosting duties, it's a bit surprising Reali (Stat Boy) is still on as host and arguably one of the most likable personalities on both ATH and PTI. As for Kellerman, boy did his career take a HUGE downturn. I know he's still a notable figure is sports talk, but I thought he would be a much bigger one at this point. You wonder if he's too similar to Keith Olbermann where they can be too abrasive to employers and can't seem to keep a high profile job for a long term period of time. | Omar Padilla

Stop ragging on the 'Disembodied Voice'. Whenever IT'SWOODYPAIGE can't be on, they should have the 'Disembodied Voice' on the panel with a silhouette on his square.
As for a new host? Anyone who can come up with a good replacement for 'FIRST TOPIC!'.

Agreed on that... kind of. It's REALLY hard to compensate for the lack of Woody Paige's greatness. I guess he has to be allowed to take the occasional vacation, though. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
