Me...I dig it, but bring back the red helmets, too. But of course, I'm still demanding the Packers double the amount of striping on their sleeves to bring it back to the Lombardi-era. | | Promote this thread! | | Grimis

Nice move there to appease some of the diehards who watched since the "Grits Blitz" era, but I think that the first Falcons jerseys were black along the original red helmets (w/golden stripes~!).

You haven't done anything here." Of course, this was before the Super Bowl win orchestrated by Wolf and Holmgren.
I could handle a return to blue and gold. The talk of that uniform modification sounded pretty good (it would have looked a lot like the 194 throwbacks, I think).

Hell, I wish the rams would bring back the old Blue/White LA throwback from 1966-1972 with the jaggy shaped horns (I think those were from the 50s on the old leather helmets).

There were conspiracy theorists who thought that those were Snyder's first step towards PC'ing the name over to the Washington Warriors.
But even as a Redskins hater, the throwbacks were sharp and are the only time the dark jerseys have looked good. | Sec19Row53

Rumor has it that:
1 - they would be the uniforms for the Washington Warriors team that Daniel Snyderbrenner "owns" in the Arena Football League. He has the rights to an expansion team, and that's the name he's trademarked.
2 - what Grimis beat me to.

I heard that was Wolf's idea, actually. From what I remember of 1993 (and I heard about it all late, being in basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC), Wolf wanted to ditch the stripes on the sleeves, pants, and helmet, and change the shade of gold to the Saints' color.
Of course, they went and halved the sleeve striping prior to the 1997 season. HERESY! And that's why I only buy throwback Packer jerseys...I refuse to endorse that single-stripe sh*t.

OH HELL NO. Leave that as the historical property of the Don Hutson/Arnie Herber teams, man. Besides, the 2001 Turkey Day road throwbacks they wore looked HORRIBLE.
What I WOULD be interested in seeing for one game are throwbacks to, say, the 1957 season. Lambeau's first year, and the Pack's sleeves had one fat gold stripe, flanked by two thin ones. We haven't seen that come back yet. | estragand
