OK, so I booked one helluva Nitro on EWR 4.2. You know how usually, the overall rating of each match is the average of the crowd reaction and the match quality? Well, the match quality was actually lower than both.
I know it isn't unprecedented. But I can't figure out what, precisely, was wrong with the show. The show wasn't directly competing with anyone (I moved Nitro to Tuesdays, away from RAW), my referees all appear to be good, I've got good announcers with good morale, and the wrestling industry is at 68% of its peak and rising. Anyone have any more ideas?

EWR has a 'random' factor which is taken into consideration with the score. It's to emulate those shows which you wtach, and while there may be decent action and such, for some reason the event comes off as 'flat'. It's just down to luck.
At a guess, the equation is along the lines of: Final Rating = ((Reaction*Quality)/2)* Random variable.
