The content depends on who's online. It does tend toward the popular titles of the day, but it's always good for something - I first saw "The Lord of the Rings" by downloading it as an AVI file from a BearShare member.

| #5 Posted on 5.3.02 1510.43 Reposted on: 5.3.09 1514.11 | Personally, I prefer Morpheus to Kazaa. I don't care for the spyware included in Kazaa since it and my computer do not get along at all. The selection on Morpheus is a bit limited since they lost fast track access through Kazaa, but I'll settle for a slightly more limited selection without having to worry about the blue screen o'death from software conflicts. The new Morpheus is using the Gnutella core with a proprietary front end and seems to be working fairly well. It is definately the fastest of the p2p programs that I have used. Hope this helps.

I've never had any problems downloading something popular on Audio Galaxy. Sometimes I run across a song with the copyright symbol on it, but usually there's another version right under it that isn't copyrighted. Anyway, I'd recommend Audio Galaxy because after a year of using it I've always been able to find exactly what I was looking for.

On the subject of quality rips, I find the combination of Audiograbber with the Fraunhoffer (possible spelling error there ) professional codec to be the best quality. Has anyone found anything else to be quicker/better? | Zeruel

| #15 Posted on 6.3.02 0942.05 Reposted on: 6.3.09 0959.05 | On the misspelling for audiogalaxy, the copyright holders are getting more creative day by day on catching misspellings. I have run across a few (like maybe 5) that are pretty much undownloadable(?) unless you nail it right when someone has used another misspelling.
Edit: As an addition, I just got the newest version of Kazaa (1.51) and I can see an obvious and consistent difference in speed.

However, that was a great site for setting a billion things to download overnight and having most of them done the next morning.
I got winmx this weekend and have liked it so far, so thanks for the tip chuckc14
