| #3 Posted on 26.1.04 1503.36 Reposted on: 26.1.11 1505.29 | I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for Miami. On one hand, Norv called some excellent games as an offensive coordinator, on the other hand, he made some questionable calls in key situations [throwing the ball 3 times when all Miami had to do was run the ball with a RB with 170 yards on the day and burn clock against New England last season, I'm looking in your general direction], but I'd be curious to see who they'd pick up. The best choice may be Jim Fassel if he's willing to TAKE the job and not hold out for a head coaching job.
Fortunately, Spurrier's ego is way too big to take an assistant coaching spot, and that's the best thing that could possibly be for the Dolphins.
EDIT: longtime Dolphins assistant and running backs coach Joel Collier however is about to be promoted rather than Miami doing any searching with QB coach Marc Trestman to be named asst head coach as well as having his present job duties. Or on all of this, so the Miami Herald speculates.

He's an awesome coordinator, but a sucky head coach.
Him and Spurrier were running neck and neck for "Most Laid Back" coach. You have to wave your hand in front of their face to see if they're alive.
If they relaxed their coaching style anymore, they'd be dead. They are the anti-"Tuna"
