Test has started doing the Roll of the Dice, apparently. He's so GREEDY with the finishers.

And I agree with Deadbeater about the spinaroonie.

I don't remember the roll of the dice..
Never really got a chance to see Reno..what is it exactly?

Burning Hammer as was stated earlier is a fucking awesome move but kinda risky..
I could see them shy away from it..
Last person to use it in the WWF I believe was Mosh *grin*

The Harlem sideslam (I believe Tony S. called it that) or the Alabama SLam or just the super spinebuster is very sweet. Booker can use it if he wants to..it's not like Bob Holly is in a place to complain I am afraid..and after all Book used it waaay lon ago in WCW already.

The Axe kick is alright if sold well, but a devastating power finisher would fit great on Booker T as he looks so damn strong and powerful. Seriously that guy is built!!

Me personally, I'd go with the uranage plus like a reverse 180 turn with it in mid air (doable i believe). I like the burning hammer too. Or maybe the super powerbomb from the top rope. Yeah! WWF no mercy gives me so many ideas for this.

The Axe Kick works fine, I think, if it's sold right. It can be done to anyone.
But, a power finisher could work too (though Booker's never been much of a power wrestler)....
Burning Hammer is good, but probably won't go through...
I like the thought of using a reverse uranage, though I don't know if that would be "different" enough....
Anyway, I'll be happy if Booker's just on Tv/in an interesting feud sometime soon...

I think the scissors kick would be fine, except the transition into it always looks funny. T will hit them in the gut and they have to stand their bent over for a good 5 seconds before being hit. If they could find better ways to apply the move (i.e, Booker hits the other guy when he his climbing to his feet after a takedown), it would work as a finisher.

dMp, the Roll of the Dice is a Reverse Spinning Neckbreaker. You get the guy from behind in a sort of DDT position, and the both of you go spinning to the mat. When done right, it looks REALLY good in that twisty, dislocatey way. I think it's the same as Christopher Daniels' "Last Rites," if that helps.

--K

***EDIT: Here's what DVDVR has to say:
Neck Breaker, Inverted Facelock Swinging
Used by : "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, Nova, Reno/Rick Cornell
AKA : Last Rights (Daniels), Spin Doctor (Nova), Roll the Dice (Reno)
Description : The attacker applies an inverted facelock on the victim. The attacker quickly spins to a side, wrenching the victim's neck and dropping them face first into the mat.

Hey, it's better than when he's a face. Remember when it seemed like he'd "raise the roof" or whatever for half an hour before finally hitting the axe kick?

OK, at the risk of losing my smark card, what's a Burning Hammer? And while I'm at it, what's a Shining Wizard? And why do Japanese finishing moves sound like they were taken from Dungeons and Dragons?

DVDVR sez:

Brainbuster, Argentine Back Breaker Rack
Used by : Kenta Kobashi, Kotetsu Yamamoto
AKA : Burning Hammer (Kobashi), Yamamoto Special '78 (Yamamoto)
Descrption : The attacker lifts the victim up across their shoulders so the victim is lying across the attacker's shoulders. The attacker has one of the victim's legs hook and is cradling their neck with their free arm. The attacker falls to the side which the victim's head is on and releases the victim's legs, dropping the victim head/neck first to the mat.

As for the Shining Wizard, I think it's a kneedrop to the head. I'm no expert, though.

How about a good old-fashioned piledriver? The Undertaker and Kane have started doing tombstones again, so the WWF rules seem to have opened up a little on such things. Piledrivers, when used, have been put over huge by the WWF over the past few years since they have been so rare. I'm not so sure how he could transition from the spinaroonie to the piledriver, but it would be a viable finisher for someone. Sometimes, the move doesn't have to be high-flyin or all the rage in Japan if it looks good and is put over properly.

I dont know, but to me he doesnt seem like the piledriver type. I like him using the burning hammer (if you have wwf no mercy check it out it looks brutal) and also i agree that the axe kick took wayyyyyyy too long to set up.

A Shining Wizard is a jumping knee to the head, I believe. (Or "faggot knee to the head" if you're Justin Baisden. Maybe Chuck and/or Billy should use it instead.)

Has Test set some sort of record by now for number of finishers gone through by one person? I don't mean multiple finishers at the same time, like the Rock et al; I mean finishers used for a while, then discarded in favor of something else. So far, he's gone through the Meltdown/Grade/Test Pattern, the Savage Elbow, the Really Big Boot, and now the Roll of the Dice.

I think the super-spinebuster would be a little too painful to take for Booker to use it on a regular basis, and a kick or other leg-type maneuver would be overkill when 75% of his offense these days is kicks. I like the crucifix powerbomb idea, though. We're all counting the days down until Hall self-destructs again, so it's not like that's really a concern.

Like the one Triple H has been using for years?

It's not listed in the BBBOWM, so I can't be positive, but from what I can recall of the descriptions I've read, the Shining Wizard is done while the victim is standing more or less upright, not bent over as in Triple H's facebuster spot. The wrestler performing the move uses the victim's slightly bent knee as a step to jump in the air and knee him in the head.

Actually, the Shining Wizard is a pretty goofy move, but Keiji Mutoh (Great Muta) makes it look DAMN convincing! Also, JR would have to sell the move just like the Japanese announcers sell it ("Shining Wizaaaaaaaard!!!!!") for it to really get over with the crowd. I think Booker T could make it work though. If not that move, then have him finish the match with a Ganso Bomb!

OK, what's a ganso bomb?

I don't think Booker would be able to pull off a shining wizard from the description.

How is a burning hammer different from a DVD?

I like the crucifix powerbomb idea (I think it's also called a splash mountain). Booker's got some super long arms (and legs) so he should be able to pull it off. Plus, it can be done from the second or top rope (maybe only if you're a cruiserweight though) giving it the added dimension the best finishers have: In very special matches you can bust out the 'super-finishing move.'

Difference between a Burning Hammer and a DVD: In a DVD, the victim is lying on your shoulders facing down before you drop to the side and slam him off onto his neck and upper back; in a BH, the victim faces up, in the style of Luger's Torture Rack, before you drop to the side and etc. Facing up makes it a LOT harder to roll with the impact, and the victim consequently takes more of the hit on his head and neck.

Given that the WWF is careful about even a relatively simple move like a piledriver, I wouldn't expect to see a Burning Hammer there soon as a once-in-a-long-time cool spot, let alone a regular finisher.

the burning hammer sounds nice. i'm not too keen on DVDs as finishing maneuvers though. there's no real reason - i just think they look goofy.

someone mentioned a piledriver - that was made a "special occasion only" move a little while back. too easy to fuck up was the reason i always heard. since that came down only shane and the rock have taken one, both by the undertaker iirc. (shane took it at surv1vor but it may have been kane inflicting it.)

someone also mentioned adding a submission move to his arsenal. i vote the texas cloverleaf since deano has pretty much retired.

and you know... just as an aside here... why the fuck haven't they put a booker / jericho title match on tv? you'd think it would be one of those situations where both guys come out looking better.
