Ugh. Your love for Hunter aside, RM, it drove me CRAZY last night when Lawler and JR kept asking where HHH was.

"Why isn't he here?"
"I'm surprised he hasn't shown up yet."
"I guess he wants to make a big entrance after the champ."

He wasn't booked in the match! Nor did he ever once appear and say he was going to be at ringside. Yet they kept acting like something was wrong. GrubbyLongJohns and I were joking that Hunter was on headset in the gorilla position saying "Keep mentioning me!".

Also, alot of weird snafus last night...my favorite being the fan that got his "Fuck you!" picked up by the mics after Batista's promo.

Hey, I was doing fine, but you know since they asked, I was just wondering, since they kept bringing him up like, "he's coming, isn't he?!" But, as much as I dig the man, I had a perfectly good time without him, thanks to Randy, hehehe.

I, for one, am sick of Comissioners, GMs, owners, Presidents (well, Tunny was cool), Co-Gms, Co, Former-Co GMs, and consultants. I actually groaned when I heard Foley's music- no good can come from this.

Count me as another defender of the Jericho/Trish storyline. It was time for a major plot twist, and it was handled perfectly. Plus, you can see where this is going a MILE AWAY! Jericho DOES have the hots for Trish, but he denies it at every turn to keep up his image. He is going to find out Trish heard about the bet, get slammed hard by her, have his heart broken, then do everything he can to get her back (and turn face in the process).

There are dozens of teen-romance movies with the exact same theme. Unoriginal, but it works. They are pulling this off perfectly.

I think that Rico did a good job in the mixed tag. It was nice to see Jericho's face moves again (springboard dropkick), and J.R. took Rico seriously and it was good.

That new YJ Stinger commercial really does stink, man.

I was really creeped out at the beginning when what I thought was the typical Eric Bischoff portrait started moving and talking! Gave me the heebie jeebies for some reason.

I was happily surprised to see Mick out there. It's nice when they can do something unexpected like that and not accidentally read spoilers about it on the internet (whoever ruined the results of the Jericho/Nash hair match is sub-human)).

Tuned out after Hardy/Christian, but there'll probably be a good resolution to the 'Bet' angle.

I am looking forward to next week's show!

My only gripe with the Christian/Jericho bet was that it looked like we would have a Matt vs Christian match at the ppv which would've been the only match this ppv that I would be interested in so far.

But since it's done I would resolve it in one of two ways.
1. Some people have said Jericho should realize he really does like Trish. Nah, I think it should be Christian. I mean we all thought at first that Jericho really like Jericho and Christian was just pretending to like Lita. But as it went on Jericho was really coming on strong like he really wanted to get some. But Christian was being the kind gentleman like maybe he really cared. So I'd say let Christian be the one that realizes he really likes Lita. They could also somehow turn Trish and they could have Trish/Jericho vs. Lita/Christian.

2. Of course you could go the simple route and have someone stick up for the ladies who got burned. My choice? Lance and Val. After all they do love the ladies. And they definitely need something to do. I'm sure Lance, Val, Jericho, and Christian could be on a great series of matches. It's too bad that Lance is stuck with nothing to do because since he became a face him and Rico have probably had the best looking offenses and they've been waste on nothing.

Other thoughts:
- Did Foley resolve the Stacey thing? I mean Stacey was free because he fired Test. But he didn't really fire Test. I have to admit I've actually enjoyed Stacey/Test but it's just gone on so many weeks now without them getting any closer to a resolution. I don't care for Steiner though.
- I have to admit that when Foley's music played I marked out. But I was already sick of him about 30 seconds in. Come on Foley, you don't need to do this. And the GM thing is tired. I'm tired of entire shows dedicated to Stone Cold, Bischoff, and Foley. If you want to bring Stone Cold back, let him be a commentator. ALthough...
- JR actually said something that I enjoyed for the first time in 5 or 6 years when he pointed out that somebody stole the pockets off of Jackie's pants.
- So uhh.. thanks for attacking Lita Matt. Now what?
- I think the replay of Cade was accidental just because Cade seemed so lost when it happened. I have to give Cade some credit though, he looks like he's really trying hard out there, while the Dudleys are just going through the motions these days.

Anyone catch during the La Resistance vs Lance/Val match a USA chant. The ironic thing was that the only American in the ring at the time was Rob Conway on La Resistance, the team people hate enough to chant USA at in the first place.

**Gee, why would Vince want to do something like that to poor Bischoff?

**Very ironic how JR keeps talking about Rico's legitament accomplishments as a martial artist and police officer. Rico just looks inspired. I can't imagine why.

**Storm is exciting. He has personality. And he's from the Dungeon - that tells you everything you need to know about his skill. So why is he being buried? Why is Goldust being dropped? Why is Rhyno being buried?

**I kinda prefer that the top authorities stay off the show. Consider the TNA conflict between Don Callis and Eric Watts. They have authority, but the people at the top are invisible, so things don't become one-sided, like they do when Vince is around, or when you only have one heel GM. It adds an element of realism, and I don't mean the kind of realism the WWE is trying with Chavo. That is not a tasteful way to address a very real problem.

I have a lot of thoughts and theories about Trish and Jericho, Mick Foley's return, and RAW in general. But since I'm a day late getting here, I won't be posting any of them.

I would like to note that I had no idea Mick Foley was returning to RAW so I was happily shocked when he showed up. A quick scan of yesterday's headlines on prowrestlingdatabase.com showed me that the Internet wasn't in on it either. And weren't we all delighted when Mick appeared?

I conclude: Wrestling is so much better when the Internet is out of the loop.

And that's why, as much as possible when it comes to wrestling, I stay away.

Peace. I'm out.

P.S. CRZ rules. (Also worth mentioning.)

Skits like that make me yearn for GTV and Goldust even though they let him go. Stuff like that screams for him.

Does anybody know whatever happened to that "F-View?" Did it fade into the land of forgotten gimmicks?

OK, here it goes, while listening to Christmas songs from 2 stations around here...

1) Goldberg/Bischoff/Foley...One question, why can't these wrestlers or former wrestlers just go away? Yeah, the fun is back with the co-GM's and they have a petition to get Austin back. Whoopie-doo.

2) Dudleys/Jindrak & Cade...Bubba in shorts = Not good. Also, with their names on the back of their shirts, isn't that a little Public Enemy-ish. OK match, and Cade/Jindrak want a rematch.

3) Booker/Test...Ok Match, until Henry comes out. Whoever said something a couple of weeks back about the closeups of Henry, I agree. I watch Raw and Smackdown on our big screen TV, and it still completely fills the screen. Yikes!!! Legs-a-roonie, funny. Also, Stacy looked great, as usual.

3a) Trish/Lita talk about their "guys" and play with Jericho...the toy. (Had to put that in)

4) Test/Steiner/Stacy/Foley...First off, I do not want to see Test's or Steiner's bare rear again. My mom was actually in the room while this was happening and when Foley came out, she said, "Here comes the butt police." My funny moment was after Test was "fired", Steiner said, "You can't fire him, we're a team." I replied, "Then you're fired!!!" A few seconds later, Foley said the same thing.

5) Storm & Venis/La Resistance...OK match. The firings continue as La Resistance gets "fired". As the patriotic music started to play, my dad thought that Hacksaw Jim Duggan was going to come out.

6) Mixed tag...Jericho, one week you are in the main event, now you are in a mixed tag match against Rico. What a drop.

7) Hardy/Christian...Nice match, but the step shot by Lita, OUCH!!!

8) Lawler/Coach...What you didn't get in the Fashion Report, Lawler in his usual "Caveman Gear" (The same wardrobe he's been wrestling in for 30 years. Coach in a WMXX shirt and half-pants. The ending surprised me and so quickly, too. I thought Coach would win by someone else interfering. Note to JR...there is an opening next year to do the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field. You sang like a lot of others who have done it...BRUTAL!!! With the frequent use of the song, I wonder if the members of Steam are getting royalties for the use of their only hit.

8a) It actually rains in California, huh.

8b) C squared passes a Canadian dollar, Trish cries...the big blow-off in Anaheim next week (I think).

9) 6-man tag...Good match. I think Flair is hilarious when he is at ringside. He tries to go up to the ring, and then...WHAM! Down he goes back to the floor. Surprised to see Foley come out, suit and all, to make the 3-count.

10) Bischoff/Foley blowoff of the night...I'm sure you knew that Mr. Socko was going to come back too. I love those JR endings when, good or bad, he loses his mind before the fade. I could just see him..."KANE-GOLDBERG NEXT WEEK!!!! GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!!!!" (fade to black) "AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!" Just thinking how out of control he is. Wish he was back to his Mid-South days when he was an announcer. Now, he is only a character doing the broadcasting. Well, that's what you get with Lawler right next to you.

That will do it for me...I'll be back on Friday or Saturday for my Smackdown thoughts, depending when we watch it.

Quezzy--I love it! What a great idea--at least it would make the Lance/Val storyline more interesting...I'm a huge Lance fan and it pains me to see him in this gimmick.

I totally agree. Christian seemed to look more genuine with Lita the entire time, and the story actually had me more attatched than Jericho/Trish. This would also be good because I mean really, with Matt and Lita still at odds, who would defend her? But since it most likely won't end up this way, I can't see myself appreciating the angle from here on it like I did. It'd be awful to see Christian going back to the same whiny CLB bull right when people are starting to get interested in him.

Notice Conway has switched from his old Purple "Conway" undies to the actual "Resistance" undies.. That's about as official as it gets. I guess he's just not high enough in the "La Resistance" heirarchy to be allowed to wear the epaulets yet, though.

I thought it was weird how Foley was trying to pimp them as potential babyfaces (even using the word) while doing his commentary.

But I agree. How very american... the land of the free, the home of the brave... Say the pledge of allegiance or your fired. Of course it was negated by the switch later but it's still getting annoying. I can hate on a French heel team on my own without having to sing America the Beautiful or say the pledge of allegiance after every other match.

Other thoughts.... Foley's return. Welcome, for about 30 seconds. Naming himself Co-GM doesn't make any sense. What powers does co-GM have that "consultant" doesn't have? I'm not buying that it's "the ability to fire people" because if a consultant is allowed to hire himself as a GM then that seems like "consultant" is pretty much a carte blanche thing....

Austin didn't even come back and I'm already sick of him...

I think there should be a moratorium on variations of the spineroonie. Annoying to see other wrestlers/personalities try to do their horrible and embarassing versions of them...

There was more male ass crack than female cleavage on RAW this week....never thought I'd see the day...

Jericho/Trish... I was a little disappointed since it seems liek were ready for more heel Jericho, who is fine and dandy.. But I've been pulling for smarmy face Jericho to come back for a while now and it looks like it will be delayed even longer...

I really liked the main event.. A great moment with GoldBURG cleaning house, then staring down Kane.. I was afraid for my life that they'd have Kane back down or they'd do the typical "Heel rushes in and gets clotheslined 3 straight times by face" move. But Kane standing there, then tagging himself in and a nice little rumble.. That was cool. I would have killed for a spear followed by by the "throat-slash" motion during which Kane would "set up" as JR puts it. But this was fine. Amazing how much more into Kane I am now that he's out of that annoying Shane angle.

I probably missed it, but did they ever follow up on that Note booker T recieved? Was it from Mark Henry (seeing that he is now feuding with him)? Just curious, cause I haven't been following wwe for awhile now.

The consensus opinion seems to be that it would have been Goldust if they had decided to renew his contract... since it seemingly was dropped right after that news came out. Of course, all it'd take is one more note to dispel THAT, but as the weeks roll by it seems more and more like this may have actually been the case.
