This coming up week on Smackdizzle, it shouldve been a three way between Cena Benoit and Lesnar. That can still happen. Let the end of Cena and Beniot end in a double pin, double count out, double dq, double something to lead to a 3 way with Lesnar. Once this happens, Benoit could make Cena tap, win the belt, and have the fued with LEsnar since Brockberg never tapped or got pinned for the belt.

Feh on top of feh. Here's a slightly more realistic take:
* Benoit beats Cena. * Benoit loses the match to Lesnar by DQ after Holly interferes. Or maybe Holly beats up Benoit because he wants the title or something. Benoit gets a title shot at the Rumble. * Lesnar and Holly settle their spat on free TV, with Holly getting his head shoved even FARTHER up his own ass. * Benoit takes the title at Rumble, letting the Inevitable Goldberg/Lesnar Match At WM20 be non-title.
But hell, it might not even be that complex, with Heyman gleefully backing up Lesnar... Benoit might win the title shot only to have it delayed until the Rumble, so Lesnar can splatter Holly over the ring or something. Like it or not, the Lesnar/Holly feud's getting settled. Just not on PPV.

Benoit and Cena got a non-finish: double DQ, double pin, double count-out. . . something along those lines. Screwy stuff leading to a best-of-three or five or seven or whatever they have time for, leading to a title shot at the Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Lesner and Holly run a mini-program stretching 3-4 weeks to kill some time.
Short-term, Benoit eventually goes over to face Lesnar. Long-term, Cena gets in-ring credibility by going toe-to-toe with Benoit for a stretch of matches. Should Cena be a guy that fulfills his potential and becomes a true main event talent, he will always have that history with Benoit that can be used any time to jump start a high-level feud without too much effort on the part of the writers.
This can go several ways. Benoit loses to Lesnar and Cena is next up for Brock. Benoit beats Lesnar and moves into a three-way battle with Lesnar and Cena that ends with Lesnar regaining and the angle morphing into Brock/Cena. Benoit beats Lesnar while Cena takes Big Show's title, leading to champion vs. champion at Wrestlemania while Lesnar is freed up to face Goldberg in an inter-promotional match. Benoit beats Lesnar then turns heel and goes into a program with Eddie G while Lesnar and Cena have a feud not involving a title.
I could go on and on. . . .
