You'd think the Alliance would have run out of bullets from shooting themselves in the foot so often, but apparently they've reloaded again. I guess kudos to Harper for stepping in so quickly to fire this idiot, but the party will have some major damage control on their hands.

Thnaks for the story. As a citizen of your neighbor to the south it's nice to know we don't have the market cornered on lunacy.

His opinions, in and of themselves, cannot be judged because everyone is entitled to their opinion. The fact that he chooses to publicly state these opinions while holding a position of authority makes him one of the stupidest SOB's I've ever heard of. I haven't seen any numbers backing up his theory, but it is a perculiar one.

"Let's just say if ... anybody that used Colgate toothpaste, their life expectancy was lowered by 10, 15 years. What do you think would happen to Colgate toothpaste? It would be outlawed. Well, we know that's what happens to men living a gay lifestyle."

Are you still allowed to smoke and drink in Canada?

From the sound of it, you can't do anything but toe the party line and smoke pot.

Yes. You just can't smoke pole!

HA! I kill me!

But Canada is a very liberal country. Remember, we're the ones that allowed queers to get married.

Oh, wait. 'Queers' isn't politically correct. I guess I should apologize in case any faggots happen to read this.

Reminds me of our "enlightened" political debates. I've got to suppose that Canada has real issues to deal with like we do. Boy, this sure helps you avoid dealing with real issues doesn't it? For the Canadian Wieners out there, do you really care what this loudmouth says or are there real problems you want to deal with your pols seem to ignore. If this keeps up, why not apply for statehood here in the U.S.? We would be happy to loan you a few nutty pols.

Well, this guy is a Mississippi born Baptist Pastor who only got his Canadian citizenship in 1999, and won his election by less than 300 votes. Sounds to me like he's just homesick for some of that good old American "political debate".

And Grimis, since Mr. Spencer IS part of a political party, he IS expected to toe the "party line". That's the way it works in a parliamentary system, party discipline is much more important than in the USA. The guy is free to sit as an independant if he wants to spout views that run counter to the party.

Well we do have a serious epidemic up here. You see all the smoke from our bongs is melting our igloos but the bong water freezes outside the igloo.

Grimis, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that, when one looks at the books, Canada is in actuality a freer country than the United States.

Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.

From what I've learned from reading some angry posts here, Canada has some strict censorship laws, like regarding simulated violance against women on TSN. Does that make Canada "freer?"

Also, since you've looked at the books, care to back up that post with some examples?

Just a quick reminder that that's one of the quickest ways to lose the ability to participate in this forum.
