I wasn't sure if this could go on the regular Wrestling board since it's pretty much fantasy booking, so here it is in Random. There is a local indy fed that is going to start running in the area starting next month. It ran a few shows earlier this year, but hasn't been around for a few months. Anyway, I've been in contact with the owner of the fed, who is also a trainer, in recent weeks. Along with the possibility of me being trained to be a referee for the fed, I'm also going to apply to be a part of the creative process to help write the shows. The owner/promoter guy sent me an e-mail with an "application" of sorts to see what I got for booking/creative skills. This was basically 6 different wrestling scenerios that I would have to write based on the basic storyline presented to me. I just got done with the first scenerio and wanted to see what you Weiners thought of my ideas. So, here it is. I warn you, it is pretty long, but here it is:

Scenario I:
Feud to start from a regular one on one singles contest. NO managers, valets, stablemen, or ring seconds allowed in this feud, just the babyface and heel participants.

Length of feud: 3 months leading to and ending at a big event.

Month 1 - The Beginning
Week 1:
The match starts like any other since there is not yet any animosity between the two wrestlers yet. Heel wrestler works the crowd to establish that he is the heel in the match. It starts out small with them trading holds and Face out-wrestling the Heel. Then it moves to other exchanges where the Face either out-wrestles the Heel or always comes out on top via some other big move. This is a typical Heel vs. Face match. Heel attempts a few cheating tactics, but is unable to ever get the upper hand because Face simply outsmarts and out wrestles him everytime. Face wrestler eventually wins the match with an old school wrestling hold/roll up type move. Heel is pissed and storms out of the ring and to the back as Face celebrates his victory. End of segment.

Week 2:
Heel wrestler is in the ring and calls out Face. Face comes out and Heel congratulates him on his win last week, but thinks he got lucky. Heel knows Face got lucky because Heel knows he is the best wrestler in the world. He wants a rematch. Face gladly accepts and they have their match right now. Match goes back and forth with Face always seeming to get the upper hand in every exchange, just like their match last week. Heel becomes more and more frustrated with every exchange and eventually begins to resort to trying to cheat to win the match agan, but Face is still one step ahead of him. Face clearly has the advantage on Heel and is about to win the match and signals for a big move to the crowd. Heel pulls a foreign object from his tights, unknown to the ref and Face, and hits Face before he can hit his finisher. He then pins Face with his feet on the ropes and a handful of tights, thus winning the match. It was clear before this point that Heel was clearly going to be defeated. The heel leaves the ring pointing to his head as if he outsmarted Face and is boasting on how he was the winner. As Face gets up, he is clearly upset and argues with the ref a bit before eventually just leaving the ring, obviously dejected by his loss. End of segment.

Week 3:
Face wrestler gives an interview. He states the obvious, that last week he had his match won and his opponent outmatched until Heel had to resort to hitting him in the head with something, then using the ropes and his tights for leverage to win. But he's not here to whine about losing a match. He calls out the heel wrestler. Heel wrestler comes out and they face off. Heel takes the mic and says that, quite simply, he is the better wrestler and he pinned Face cleanly in the middle of the ring 1-2-3, end of story. Face wrestler requests a rematch, which Face granted to Heel after Heel lost their first match, to see if Heel can beat him again. Heel declines saying that he already proved he can beat him last week and there's no need for a rematch. Heel drops the mic and begins to leave the ring. As the heel is leaving, Face bends over to take the mic. As Face is bending over to get the mic, Heel attacks him and beats him down. After a short beatdown, the heel begins to strut around the ring and taunting the crowd. Face recovers and attacks the heel and after a few moves, Heel bails out of the ring and leaves. End of segment.

Week 4:
Heel gives an interview stating that Face showed last week that he has no sportsmanship by attacking him from behind. Therefore, he will not grant a rematch. He has better things to worry about, like climbing the ladder of success. He will prove tonight that he is the best wrestler in the world by taking on one of the toughest men he's ever seen in his life and calls out his opponent. His opponent is a poor specimen of a wrestler: scrawny and unopposing. The match begins and Heel, of course, is dominating the poor scrawny guy. Half way through the match, Face comes out to ringside and begins to cheer on the little guy, trying to get the crowd to rally behind him. This distracts Heel wrestler and little guy gets off a few moves and gets a near fall on Heel. Heel kicks out, however, and beats down little guy. Heel goes to bounce off the ropes to apparently hit a move on little buy, but instead hits a baseball slide to Face who is still standing outside the ring. Heel gets up laughing and pointing to his head in the "I'm so smart" gesture. Little guy takes advantage of Heel being distracted and cocky and gets a roll up for the pin. Heel is furious and beats down little guy some more until Face recovers from the baseball slide, enters the ring, and gets a few moves off on Heel until Heel again retreats from the ring. Heel is pissed because he lost the match and because Face showed him up, yet again. Face helps up little guy and holds up his hands in victory, then turns and points to Heel who is still fuming in the aisleway and they have a short staredown. End of segment.

Month 2
Week 1:
Heel storms to ringside and demands Face wrestler come out. Face comes out to confront Heel and they have an intense staredown before Heel seemingly calms down and takes the mic. Heel asks Face if he thinks what happened last week was funny. Does he think it's funny that he caused him a match? Does he think it's funny that he beat him up after the match? Heel says he knows he did that to get under his skin because he wants a rematch with him. Heel asks Face if he wants a rematch. Heel asks the crowd if they want to see a rematch between them. Crowd roars their approval. Heel simply says "no" drops the mic and leaves. Face is pissed. End of segment.

Later on in the night, Face has a match. During the match, Face is thrown to the outside of the ring by his opponent and then distracts the ref. Heel then runs down to the ring and beats on Face, plastering him with a steel chair and ramming him into the corner post, leaving Face bloody and beaten on the ground, then hides on the other side of the ring. The ref, of course, saw none of this and turns around only after the beating is done and counts Face out giving his opponent the count out victory. Heel then goes back to beating on Face, hitting him with a chair a few more times and hitting a few big moves such as a powerbomb and a piledriver on the chair. He finally relents after a barrage of refs and other wrestlers come out to stop the massacre. Face is utterly destroyed and a bloody mess. EMTs come out and take him out on a stretcher while Heel gloats and taunts the crowd to a chorus of boos. End of segment.

Week 2:
Heel comes to the ring as cocky as ever. He talks about how he was sick of everybody coming up to him and saying how Face was the better wrestler. No matter where he went, he heard everybody singing the praises of Face, but heard nothing about his own skills in the ring. Well, he proved last week that he IS better than Face and after the beating he gave Face, it'll be a long time before we see Face in the ring, if we ever see him again. Now with Face out of the picture, he can again concentrate on moving up the ladder of success and everybody will eventually realize his greatness in the ring. End of segment.

Week 3:
Heel is scheduled for a match and comes to the ring to a chorus of boos. He starts his match and is dominating his opponent and basically wins his match in a squash. As he is leaving the ring, he sees a fan at ringside with a sign promoting Face wrestler. Heel confronts the fan, takes his sign, and tears it up saying that Face will never be seen around here again and walks further down the aisle where he again sees another sign for Face wrestler. Heel grabs the sign away from the fan to rip up the sign again, but when the sign is taken from the fan, the fan is revealed to be Face. Face jumps the rail and begins to beat down Heel. He drags Heel back to the ring and they go back and forth before refs and other wrestlers come out to restrain both wrestlers. They have your classic pull apart brawl where both wrestlers will be restrained when one will escape and attack the other a few times before order is finally restored and the ring is clear of everybody besides Face. Face grabs a mic and DEMANDS a rematch. Heel, of course, says no. Face says he figured Heel would say that, so he actually went to the match makers of the federation. Because of Heel's actions and his beatdown of Face two weeks ago, the match makers agreed that Face deserved a rematch and signed the match for next week. Heel vs. Face one on one. Heel is shocked and upset that this has happened. End of segment.

Week 4:
Face and Heel face off one on one for the first time in two months. Face is a house-o-fire and is destroying Heel for the entire match. Heel eventually grabs a chair and hits Face with it drawing an automatic and blatant disqualification, just so the he can leave the ring and get out of the match. This pisses everybody off, especially Face who is fuming. End of segment.

Month 3
Week 1:
Heel is out in the ring for a statement/interview. Heel says that last week, he should've been the winner of the match. He clearly had Face beaten until the end. He blames the loss on the ref who DQ'd him for the chair shot. Heel claims that the ref never fully explained the stipulations of the match when it started and Heel swears he thought the ref told him it was a No DQ match. So he really didn't lose the match last week, it was the shoddy officiating. Heel is obviously making this up as he is going along and continues to put down the officiating in the match pointing out how there were closed fists and hair being used and not being repremanded against, so he again figured it was a No DQ match. The ref of their match eventually comes out and gets in the ring. The ref says he heard Heel putting down his officiating and heard Heel say he thought the ref told him it was a No DQ match. Well, when he heard Heel saying that, he figured that's the kind of match Heel really wanted so the ref got that match signed. Heel vs. Face in a No DQ Match. Heel reacts appropriately pissed off. Heel then sputters off a bunch of excuses and then says he just remembered that he won't be able to make it to the event next week because he has to take his mother to the hospital that night. Ref says that's ok, because the No DQ match isn't for next week.....it's for right now! Heel is pissed. Heel tries to leave arena, but Face runs out to ringside and drags Heel back to the ring and the ref officially starts the match. Face lays the beating down on Heel and looks to finally be getting his revenge on Heel, when Heel finally gets a little breather and bails out of the ring and leaves ringside, getting himself counted out. Face is appropriately fuming. End of segment.

Week 2:
Face storms down to ringside and demands another match with Heel. He says he will not leave the ring until he gets his match and Heel comes out to the ring. Heel does not come up. Face grabs a chair and sits in the middle of the ring saying that he's not leaving. The next match attempts to start up. The first wrestler of the match comes out and apologizes to Face saying that he was told to come out and start the next match. Face beats up wrestler 1 and throws him out of the ring. Face says he has all night and is not leaving until he gets a piece of Heel. Some other wrestler comes down to the ring and also apologizes and says he's not here to start a match or to get Face out of the ring, but to deliver a message. He says that Heel is not there because, if you remember from last week, Heel had to take his mother to the hospital this week. So, sorry, Heel is not here. Face calls bullshit on that. However, wrestler has another message to deliver to Face, which comes from the front offices of the federation. It seems as if Heel's actions the past few weeks with getting himself DQ'd and counted out during their matches, the match makers of the federation have signed a match for the end of the month between the two of them.....in a Steel Cage Match. End of segment.

Week 3:
Announcement at the beginning of the night that both Heel and Face are not at the event tonight so that neither of them cause the other to get injured before their big match next week. They are both left off the card this week to build up the audience's suspense to finally see these two in the ring together. Video package is shown outlining their feud over the last three months from their first match all the way through last week's announcement of the Cage Match to take place next week. End of segment.

Week 4:
Steel Cage Match Main Event. Match is Face destroying Heel while Heel tries to escape the cage at every possible occasion. Face, however, keeps him from leaving and just beats the hell out of Heel. Face eventually wins the match via pinfall in the middle of the ring, finally defeating a bloodied Heel and ending their feud once and for all.

Seems simple enough, though your monthly plan doesn't leave any room for PPVs. I guess one or two of their 'showdown' matches could take place at a big event, however.

Right. The instructions on the scenerio didn't say anything about a monthly PPV or anything like that, so I booked it as if it were just a weekly indy show played out at the arena. I tried for a simple old-school type build up with a few more modern type twists thrown in there. In my scenerios, the Face always ends the feud with a clean pinfall victory and figured this build up was perfect for a cage match. This has actually been pretty fun. Another scenerio I just booked was a 6 week Tag Team feud, which I think turned out better than this 3 month Singles feud.
