Yeah, they've hung in there pretty well; and at the same time, they've been able to develop a few young guys. The recent trade for Straka adds some depth, and if Allison is able to return and get into game shape by the post-season, the Kings could do some pretty fair damage in the West. I haven't been this optimistic about a Kings' team in about 3 or 4 years. Cechmanek still makes me nervous, however. Very unorthodox goaltender; makes the easy saves look difficult and the difficult saves look easy.

It hurts my brain. They are getting healthy with the return of Stumpel and Palffy last week. Straka is a welcome addition, and Michael Cammeleri is playing some top notch hockey right now. I haven't heard any news on when either Deadmarsh or Allison will return. Deadmarsh is going through the ever-nasty post-concussion syndrome, and the Kings obviously do not want to mess with Allison's neck. There's no need to rush them right now.
