I like the blues, too...it's quite a good colour scheme.
Count me in as part of a proud minority. Bluez Rule!
To the Zims: Will the message board programmers (AcmlmBoard) release an edition that will allow for custom color schemes? How does that work, anyhow? Automatic updates? I'm curious. | bubblesthechimp

| #11 Posted on 28.11.03 1308.22 Reposted on: 28.11.10 1308.22 | Our implementation of the color schemes is custom. I believe ACMLM added it in the 1.8 version, but we are branched off at the 1.65 version.
We will not be able to simply ugprade to a new version ever. We are able to look at what they have done, and adopt parts of it. The Calendar is a 1.8 feature that we have added to the 1.65 code that we have.
At some point, we should probably just re-brand this board. The parts that are most like the ACMLM board are due for a rewrite for HTML compatability anyway.
//edit for clarity: Chris and I write all of the PHP for this board, with occasional bits from Adam when he is around. I haven't talked with him since he moved to Australia, though, so I don't think he will be around much any longer. There are no automatic updates - if something gets added, one of us (or both) worked on it.

I played around with it before I set up my first ACMLM board in Oct. of 2000 - so it's been a while since I've really looked into it. Version 2.0 is pretty nice, actually, I have seen that before, but I haven't really gone through the php files to see how it does stuff.
At this point, we've done a lot of custom stuff here that would take just as much work to do again on another board system, and we'd also lose all of the old posts... so we're probably staying with this setup.
Really, there isn't a lot left to do. I will be implementing the spell checker one of these days, and Chris has something that he's been working on in the last few weeks.
