In a tag team match, either oustside partner can run in to stop a 3 count, but only the heel team partner can drag his partner back to their corner for a tag.

Whenever food is involved on a wrestling show (Thanksgiving spread, a birthday cake, etc.) said food will never be eaten and there will ALWAYS be a food fight.

Another vote for the contract signings, magic phones,
and food follies, plus...

The wrestler with the shorter hair loses a hair vs. hair
match.

If a heel turns face, jobbers punches are suddenly effective.

There are few things more devastating than being tripped by some one outside the ring.

How about this... if you're a face, some strange quirk of physics makes it so that if a heel manager/partner grabs your ankle while you're being pinned, you're completely unable to lift your shoulders.

- Nobody ever stays retired after losing a retirement match. In fact, no wrestler ever completely retires unless they have a serious injury/illness or they pass away.

    I believe Steve Blackman did it for one, and it's been done several times in numerous WWF and WCW hardcore matches by others not named RVD, except maybe a dropkick was substituted in. Jerry Lawler once pointed out what I was trying to get at with this "wrestling move": "Why do they catch the chair? You know he's just going to hit you with it."




This does actually happen a lot, it's not always a kick, sometimes a punch but i have seen it happen a lot, I think RVD is just the only one i've seen it do more than once. For example, the first time I ever saw someone do it was when Benoit did it to Saturn in a tag match, but I have never seen Benoit do it since. RVD on the other hand, does it like every match he can.

Finally got around to watching SmackDown and picked up on this one:

When a hardcore implement (of any kind, but usually a steel garbage can) is taken from under a ring it is very light, to the extent that it can easily be thrown over the top rope and into the ring. However, should it later be used to hit a wrestler, it is heavy and cause immense pain to the recipient.

In a cage match, the wrestlers will always attempt to leave the cage slow enough for their opponent to catch them in the nick of time. Also, no wrestler will think of making a mad dash to the door when his opponent is taking the long way by climbing over the top.

The average elbow drop from the top rope doesn't really hurt...BUT if Randy Savage delivers his PATENTED top rope elbow drop, YOU ARE DEFEATED. (Same goes for Hogan's leg drop, Warrior's big splash, Taker's OLD SKOOL...etc...)

The WWF keeps stop signs, fire extinguishers, empty new clean trash cans, fire extinguishers and black spray paint under every ring.

If you are going to put someone through the announce table, don't leave the monitors and microphones installed, which would only hurt your opponent worse. You must pull them out before hitting the move! This ain't ballet, BY GAWD.

Bad things happen in the restroom.

If you are standing on the turnbuckle and someone hits the ropes, you will never fall into the ring, outside the ring, or to the steps and you will NOT land on your feet unscathed. Instead YOU WILL BE CROTCHED, no matter what. It's physics...testicles fall directly onto the turnbuckle, every time.

Early in ladder matches, you must leisurely and slowly ascend the ladder to the title belt...there's no hurry! Save your energy! In fact, the only time you should quickly climb the ladder is late in the match when you are exhausted...suddenly, you will find you can do it!

If you jump from 6 or more feet up and hit your lying down opponent in the shoulder with your face, he will be hurt and you will be fine. But if he moves and you hit the mat, you're dead.

In a cage match: if the face is thoroughly beaten and lying in the ring, he will not move at all UNTIL the heel has his first leg on the top of the cage, or 1 leg out the door.. then the face will completely pull an Undertaker and come to life, flying up the cage to catch the heel "at the last second"

If you're an announcer and are assigned to interview the Rock, turn it down. You will only be horribly humiliated.
If you're an announcer and are assigned to interview the Undertaker, turn it down. You will only be threatened with violence and forced to hand over the mike.

If you are a face and lightly brush a security officer, you will be arrested with cuffs, surrounded by multiple cops. If you are a heel and attempt murder on video, whether it be with a truck, a car or by dropping a safe on someone, the cops will never get word of it.

This cage match talk got me thinking:

When you are at the top steel cage and about to leave over the top of the cage a hand/foot/strand of hair grabbed by your opponent will allow for them to gain full control of your entire body thus making you climb back over the top and into the ring and rendering you unable to attempt a countermove of any kind.

Wrestling physics is great.

Whenever there is a tag team match with no disqualifications, both teams will be polite and still not enter the ring without tagging in first. The only exception to this is when a match is held under "luchador rules."

Speaking of no DQ matches, if a wrestler makes it to the ropes while in a submission hold, not only will the referee demand that his opponent break the hold, the opponent will break the hold even though he can't be DQ'ed for refusing to break.

He can't be? I've seen it happen on ocassion. Didn't Trish just get DQ'ed on Monday for not breaking he hold on Jazz?

He can't be if it's a no-DQ match, which is where my unwritten rule was aimed at. I don't think Trish vs. Jazz was a no-DQ match.
