Thanks Roy for carrying an average team on your broad shoulders this year.
Anyone else surprised that the vote was not close. I remember reading earlier threads here and not many of you were picking Halladay to win.

Hell, if Toronto played in the Central instead of having to face New York and Boston 36 times a year, they would've made the playoffs.
Congrats to Roy. Hope he can keep it up in 2004 to lead the Jays to a wild card | Net Hack Slasher

Ha I'm sure they kind of feel like when you are a kid and the class gets to decide what to do one of two things and your teacher says who wants option A and your the only one who raises your hand and quickly lowers it hoping no one sees LoL Sorry Chi-town homers we see you
Lets just hope this Blue Jay Cy Young winner lasts long in the city then the last one.

| #4 Posted on 13.11.03 0635.53 Reposted on: 13.11.10 0635.57 | Loaiza had just one less win, two more losses, and an ERA half a point lower than Halladay's. He also lead the league in strikeouts. I think if he hadn't choked against Minnesota late in the year, the award would be his. Oh well, Halladay had a great year, too. | Whitebacon

Halladay had three fewer K's, plus he tied for the league lead in complete games with Mulder and Colon. Led the league in innings pitched. He had two fewer losses in addition to the additional win. He also had a lower WHIP by three quarters of a baserunner per inning, and a better Strikeouts to Walks ratio 6.38 (tops in the league...or at least among starting pitchers). | Peter The Hegemon

Well, I was one who was picking Loaiza...BUT that was with several weeks to go in the season. Halladay got even better down the stretch, while Loaiza basically fell apart (and cost me first place in my fantasy league to boot!). By the end of the season there was no doubt in my mind that Halladay was the guy. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
