The "original" Columbo movie pilot Prescription: Murder (1967) (imdb.com), in which Falk's performance is so wildly different from what it eventually became that you'll shit your pants, airs NEXT Tuesday in the normal "Columbo" slot (which, for me, is 1300 weekdays). It was based on a 1962 play (columbo-site.freeuk.com) (also written and produced by Levinson & Link) which toured the US and Canada most of the year. This play was actually a retooling of the FIRST appearance of Columbo - a one hour "Chevy Mystery Show" episode called Enough Rope (columbo100.freeuk.com) which aired 31 July 1960.
This is more than you've EVER needed to know about one of my favourite old shows still airing regularly. Thanks, Bravo! DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH, DAAH

Oh my GOD!! ANOTHER COLUMBO MARK!! Man, I was ready to turn Jessica Lynch back over to the Iraqis last night when I saw A&E was showing two hours of stuff about her in the Sunday "later episodes" slot... but thanks to Bravo I still have many taped from the last few weeks to get to.
