Anyone else think it's time to turn Booker T face? He seemed to get a pretty good pop when he beat Val Venis on Heat tonight. I think he's getting pretty stale as a heel. He's not going anywhere right now, and I think a face turn will shakes thing up a bit. Plus, he has yet to be a face in the WWF, so he will have a lot of new opponents to take on. I'd love to see him turn face on Regal, and win the IC title from him.

I'm getting the feeling the face turn of Booker T is imminent. He's getting some pops for his offense and especially the spinaroonie, much like when The Rock started getting cheers for The People's Elbow during his first heel run. Many have also given praises to Booker for his hilarious performance in the Hungry Man commerical as well. I think he would make a marketable face if he finds something in his promos that catches on.

It's not time just yet, but I can definitely see it coming. Of course, the last few people that started drawing cheers teased face turns for a few weeks before solidifying and cementing their heel status (Rock, HHH, Angle, and a point could be made for Austin too).

The question is, will he be a serious face, or a comedic one? He's become a self parody already. I think they'd better run with it if they want it to work.

Well, there aren't too many wrestlers who are JUST faces or JUST heels in this day in age; so I think a Booker T face-turn is inevitable. He was a big face in WCW due to his natural charisma. I mean, something about him just makes me want to get up off my thing and cheer for him. Booker T, the heel, transferred that charisma into more heelish traits; such as an ego and a cowardice for an angry Steve Austin chasing after him. Perhaps now the WWF is going to have Booker T put all of his charisma into a face role. He'd probably be a serious face, as I don't really remember a face Booker T be all that funny. (No, GI Bro-The Return was Wrestlecrap™ not really that funny. Just sad.)

I just hope he has a match at WM18. Face or heel.

You think Booker should borrow some of his brother's material such as "yak", "suckas got to know", and "fruity booty"?

Maybe the first two, but that third one belongs to Stevie Ray and Stevie Ray alone.

Hit did hit "like neckbone" when he set up a match against Big Show. I think that was a Stevie Ray-ism.

Definitely smell (and want) a face turn coming, but Booker should be the Angry Face, not the Likeable Face.

Maybe start it by having him help out other WWF faces vs. the nWo. Play off his WCW history and all that.

If Booker does end up turning face to help fight off the nWo, it also opens the door for possibly bringing in Steiner and/or Jarrett (Vince brought back Hogan, Hall, and Nash, so I can see Jarrett being forgiven as well), further playing off some of T's best rivalries. And then maybe have Benoit team up with him eventually upon his return to help against those two. A face Booker T opens up so many neat possibilities.

I know that Booker T was, of course, in WCW when the nWo was running wild.

But he really didn't fight the nWo all that much, with a couple of exceptions.

The Outsiders beat Harlem Heat for their initial WCW World Tag Team Title.

Then later, as they were fighting The Steiner Brothers, Vincent helped Harlem Heat score a controversial win to become #1 contenders. But a rematch was signed because of the circumstances, and Harlem Heat got pissed and whooped up on Vincent.

After that, there was this thing where Stevie Ray left the (crappy) nWo B-team, and Harlem Heat had to take on some of the remaining members.

Other than that, that's really it, from what I can remember. Booker T and the nWo really don't have that much history-- certainly not the history that Flair, Anderson, Benoit, Hennig and The Big Show have.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea to turn Booker face to feud with the nWo, though. Actually, I think it's definitely a good idea.

They could do a 'YOU kept me down'angle.
but that goes for Benoit, Jericho, and right about any other old WCW wrestler.

There was a weird period in WCW where Booker and Stevie Ray were supposedly in line for the top shot at Hogan and the nWo. It came down to a Harlem Heat vs. Luger/Giant match, where the winner (the person who actually got the victory for his team) would become the #1 contender for Hogan's belt.

Booker was kind of all over the place, but I think he may have also had some crossover with the later nWo Silver, Jarrett's version. I'm not positive on the details, but it might have had some connection to his transformation into G.I. Bro.

I realize Booker didn't actually feud with the nWo way back when.

Booker's heat with nWo is really along the lines of him getting held back in WCW while all the big pushes and storylines revolved around Hogan/Bischoff/Nash.

So his angle this time could be along the lines of "I had to take a back seat to these guys once, I'm not gonna let that happen again."
