Well, they let Al Gore have his shot hosting, and that went all right. I assume most of America will suddenly find something better to do on December 6th....unless this is one of those "car wreck" situations- it's ugly, but you can't look away. Promote this thread! | | DJ FrostyFreeze

Oh, he knows that himself. He's just running to make sure his issues are heard in the campaign. He knows his chance of winning is just about statistically equal to, say, mine.
Now, as for the show, the best two episodes last year (aside from the Walken episode which is always on it's own level of the universe) were probably the Al Gore and John McCain shows. I even remember them getting a decent show out of Steve Forbes, who wasn't exactly bursting in the personality department. Say what you will about Sharpton, at heart he's a showman and should do a damn fine job. | fuelinjected

Word. The SNL writers always seem to save better material for the politician/athlete hosts, probably in order to prop up any stiff acting on their part. But then again, maybe my favourite SNL moment of last year was John McCain recording a Barbra Streisand cover album. "If she think she can do my job, I'm doing to do hers!" | Grimis

What what. Andy Roddick's a little charmer. He's also easier on the eyes than Al Sharpton. You'd have to give him that at least. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
