All right, who's dressing up this year and what's your costume?

Pretty much I need some cool creative ideas that I can put together for my own costume.

After dressing as NAFTA last year, I'm going with something a little less creative. My current plan is to either go as Charlie Brown, or as the Riddler (if I can find a used green suit).

Captain Jack Sparrow at your service. I've grown my beard out and stuck some braids in it, got the baggy pants and shirt, fake dreads and the ether-induced stagger. I'm trying to outdo my effort of two years ago-Two Face, complete with hideous make-up, half-colored hair and two ruined suits sewn into one. Yeah baby!

I'll be a mystified patient to my ladyfriend's naughty nurse. We've yet to come to a decision on whether to have a prosthetic foam rubber ass hang out of the back of my hospital gown, or my actual ass. But I'll keep you posted.

Well, if it's cold, I'd suggest a prosthetic. I'll be using my horribly unoriginal costume by removing my glasses to become a person with above average vision. Fortunately I don't have to drive in my costume....

I've always wanted to do the extreme in Gen-X dorkness and buy a stormtrooper suit of armor. Actually I've had a dream for years of getting together with one of these "squadrons" of dor---er, guys that go around together and march around town on Halloween, kind of like if Vader left a garrison in Modesto.

Actually this is what I would do on Halloween. Have a female friend dress up as Princess Leia go to a local restaurant and get a table. After a few minutes the march of the empire starts playing mysteriously (Leia brought a tape player) and a bunch of stormtroopers march in to surround her table. A few seconds later they are followed by Vader with more stormtroopers and an imperial official. (You know, you have to make it look official.) A conversation breaks out between Vader and Leia that must include "You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor! Take her away!" The stormtroopers escort her out, the imperial officer has something to say to Vader, and they all exit the restaurant to the march of the empire.

I'm putting my white, double-breasted polyester suit to use for only the second time in my life (my wedding was the first) and going as a 70s disco guy. I've got a good Hawaiin shirt, and will also be rocking the sideburns and stash, but I still need to pick up a gold chain or two. I'm also not quite sure what shoes to look for.

Well, I'm going to a party tonight, and one of the guys who'll be there won Best in Show honors at Star Wars Celebration II last year. (He was the Wampa, if you were there.)

(image removed)

This year he's not sure whether to go as either a Ringwraith (with hand-made armor) or Nightcrawler. Either is sure to look great.

Me? I'm wearing an orange shirt with "COSTUME" written on it.

I'm going as La Parka, although I'm having a certain amount of difficulty finding gloves with a skeleton print. I thought that they'd be everywhere this time of year.

Huh, that Star Wars costume is pretty big...

I'm looking into dressing up as a roman sex slave a-la Fellini's Satyricon. A friend of mine might make me a tunic, and I need to get me some sandles. Slap on a little make-up, and maybe if I can find some reletively cheap, some sexy blue contacts, I'll be set!

This year it's nothing too creative, I'm just gonna take my sisters trick-or-treating in a Hannibal Lector mask thing, and I'm wearing it to school. Next year I have plans though, either as my alter ego (too complicated to explain) or as a Japanese Geisha.

A group of us are dressing up as the cast of "Trailer Park Boys," a show most likely only Canadians will understand.

I'll be J Rock, the ultra-white guy that thinks he's an ultra-black the front of this picture, if you couldn't already guess. We're also celebrating a friend's 30th birthday on Halloween night, so it should get extra messy...

<----------- my avatar, but the white will be "glow-in-the-dark-white" this year, and look more like traditional corpse paint this year

Oh yeah, I also ordered yellow/red contacts, like the ones Darth Maul wore in the Ep I

I'm going to be Nightcrawler, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be the comic-book version (w/ the original, Dave Cockrum designed costume) or the X2 version (though I'm not sure how I'd do the tattoos if I do the movie version--any suggestions?). Also, I think I'm going to have to forego the yellow eyes. I just can't deal with contacts.

White loafers with gold buckles, of course. Go for the Full Cleveland. You'll be the scariest thing on the block.

D pretty much decreed this one... beats. I guess it's better than last year's costumes (she was a fairy, I was a... guy in graduation gown with a fake diploma that I tossed after, like, five minutes). I forget who she said my costume's based on (but I think her mother's making it, if there's anything to make). Not sure I really need anything other than a white T-shirt and a pack of cigarettes...
