Augh, what a bummer.

FOOTAGE! of HHH taking out the hit, past attempts, and Goldberg/Shawn.

Why won't they get a new opening song? Are they that fixated with this one? The OLD Raw song really was better. Oops - I mean - Why won't they wake up? It's time for Raw, live from Wilkes-Barre, PA...and a Fashion Report, too!

Austin, in black sleeveless "F0CK Fear" tshirt, jean shorts, and kneebraces, reads a note. Test, in black longsleeved v-neck and blue jeans, with crutch, with Stacie, in white tied-up shirt, short blue denim skirt, and knee-high socks. Test wants an apology, but Austin blah blah blah. Another week, another go at proving Pavlov right. Bisch appears on the Titantron, in shiny new black leather jacket (um, isn't a "classic" Survivor Series match 4 vs. 4?). Austin's GM-acy vs. Austin's ability to randomly violence people. I think we can all root for the heels here (unless you like Austin destroying the entirity of the active roster.) 15 minutes of our lives.

In the back, Shane paces.

Dudlyes, DVon in sleeveless black "Dudley Boyz 3D" tshirt and green/yellow camo pants, wearing the Tag Title, and Bubba, in "Dudleyville 3D" jersey and black warmups, with "Hawk" bicep tape and carrying the Tag Title vs. La Resistance, Rene in black "La Resistance" undies, sparkly blue coat and beret, Conway in black "Conway" undies with gold butt-wings, carrying the French flag. Charles Robinson wears the black/white stripes for refereeing. DoomsDayDevice to a pin. We've seen this before, but it's a nice match.

In the back, Bisch tries to develop teamwork between Jericho and Steiner. Meanwhile, Terri interviews Randy and Flair, with briefcase. Then BookerT shows up and he roughs-up Randy.

Yep, there it is - the Survivor Series ad.

Booker, in white hot-crotch flamin' "BookerT" undies, vs. Randy, in black slacks and loafers. Randy bails, and Booker wins by countout. Post-match Booker signs-up for Austin's team.

Shawn, in mirror-studded sleeves, black leather chaps, and red tights with Texas-flag hearts vs. Goldberg, in black undies with butt-barbedwire (punked-out by Henry, in white singlet with red slashes). Lillian announces, in black whole-filled top and pink skirt. Um, no match?

Goldberg gets tended to. Damnit, Austin, don't you watch the show?

Jericho, in tan tights with purple silhouttes, with FOOTAGE!, and Steiner, in chainmail, +1 vs. cruiserweights and red "Freakzilla" tights with silver thigh-blades, vs. Lance, in red undies, and Rob, in black singlet with blue oriental dragon and ying-yang, IC Title over his shoulder. Again, Charles Robinson officiates. Lance into the guardrail is OUCH! Lionsault to a pin on Rob. Post-match brutalizing of the faces. The announcers were on for this match. A good match.

In the back, Bisch checks on Goldberg. Doesn't HE watch the show, either?

King, in black suitcoat (and no shirt) and JR, in black hat, sportscoat and shirt, eulogize Hawk and Stu Hart. Here's a video tribute to Stu.

In the back, Flair talks to Teddy on the phone (no money for them). Meanwhile, the rent-a-cops are briefed. Meanwhile (x2) Jericho puts the moves on Trish (awkward silence!). Meanwhile (x3), in Evolution's lockerroom, Cade and Jindrak steal the briefcase from under Randy's nose (well, really they beat him down, then take it).

In the back, Randy lies to Flair about the money. I sense hilarity ensuing!

Trish, in black/red sparkly tranchcoat, black low-cut top and black/red sparkly pants, and Lita, in pink armwraps, fishnet tanktop, black bra and green shorts with black pockets, vs. Victoria, in black latex top and pants, with Stevie, in pink, and Molly, in white top with black sides and a red stripe and black tights, wearing the Women's Title. Jack Doan gets to ref. Victoria's trash-talking is, well, in-character. "Double Powerbomb" by Stevie/Victoria on Trish for the pin. Post-match beatdown, but Christian!, in green/black shirt and brown pants, makes the save (and tries to use his powers of mack on Lita).

Maven, in black "M" fullcuts, vs. Flair, in purple "Nature Boy" robe with silver sequins, black "RF" undies thereunder. Flair, pulling on the tights, with the pin. A nice match. Post-match, Maven looks disappointed/in awe.

In the back, Flair celebrates and Randy confesses about the money. Rent-a-cops rush past, 'cuz Kane has arrived (only 100 minutes late).

Kane, under the towell, in black tights with red stripes, with the rent-a-cop brigade (Kane is lacerated) cuts the evil-monster promo. It was alright, but I can't help but think it would have been better in a dark room.

In the back, Cade and Jindrak are done-in by HHH (and a 2x4) as they try to flee with the briefcase. Silly boys, HHH actually watches the show.

Randy/Flair talk - when HHH arrives they turn on each other. They'll watch the show together - how nice.

Shawn, in same (yes, he put all the mirrors back on) vs. Goldberg, in same. Hebner officiates. Batista, in black undies with red flames, interferes. I didn't hear a bell, so I'll call it a No-Contest. Beatdown on Goldberg (he sells it). On the stage, Evolution poses.

Overall: A nice show; it kept me entertained. The announcers weren't that bad. But the big question - now is Evolution: past, present, and future x 2?

Okay, so now Jericho and Christian! are trying to pick up chicks by using the whole "good guy" trick? I can dig that.

I think they're shooting for a Monster v. Monster vibe with Goldberg and the returning Batista.

It won't work.

Definite highlight of the night was Jindrak and Cade showing they have a brain by taking out Orton and stealing the money. But as usual, Triple H comes out on top.

I'm excited about the prospect of a 5 on 5 Survivor Series elimination match. Jericho and Booker each counteract the sucktitude of Steiner and the match only has the potential to get better.

I think they're shooting for Kane as a Monster who couldn't even be stopped by a burning dumpster or a limo crash.

It won't work.

At the first Survivor Series, it was 5 vs. 5. So, yeah, it's the "classic" way.

As for Christian saving Lita. I have put it all together, and it's genious.

For the past several weeks, we've seen Christian and Jericho give the eye to Trish and Lita.

Now the boys are saving the girls from Stevie Richards' Diva-lead attacks.

They're doing this in an effort to get into the girls' pants.

I wouldn't be surprized if we see a backstage skit of Jericho and Christian paying off Stevie to attack Lita and Trish, just so they can make the save.

I thought this was another good show. 3 weeks in a row that has seen several stories advance. The wrestlers all seem to have a purpose on the show. The show isn't revolving around any one HHH, i mean wrestler. It seems as if a lot of the guys have stepped up their efforts. i'm really liking the build up of also rans Mark Henry and Lance Storm. Hopefully they can continue to build these two and elevate others as well. All around a solid effort. RAW is definetely the better show right now!

I was thinking the exact same thing about the theme tonight. We were playing RAW on a PC last Thursday during the Steph segment and got the whole "Thorn In Your Eye" intro. It was SO much better than the current intro.

The thing I kept thinking through the show tonight was "Nice flow". Especially with Evolution. Austin's obnoxiousness led to an actual Survivor Series-style match at Survivor Series. And Jericho was Jericho, except when Trish told him not to. (And when he wasn't, he kind of SUCKED.)

I liked all of the Evolution stuff, from Orton/T to the theft of the money, to the Flair/Maven match (and Maven's "clever bastard" look post-match) to the return or Batista. Flair looks more comfortable and cocky than he has in years.

They really gave Hawk's passing a lot more airtime than I thought they would. Nice job, as was Stu's piece.

I REALLY liked Kane's promo.

When Michaels was walking down the hall, I thought he was wearing a rubber chest.

Excellent show.

Okay, here's my take:

As much as I love Stacy, I am freaking SICK of seeing her taking up valuable RAW air time. She can't wrestle like the other RAW divas, so I suggest shipping her off to SmackDown!, with the other Divas who only serve as eye candy.

Not a bad show, except for the golden missed opportunity to elevate Cade and Jindrak. The $100,000 was secondary anyway to the 'I took out Goldberg' street cred, so Batista got over* anyway.

So for Survivor Series....5-on-5 elimination match with Goldberg/Michaels/Maven/Cade/Jindrak vs. HHH/Flair/Orton/Batista/yet another new Evolution member? I know a title match is more likely, but this'd be pretty schweet.

*= I use 'got over' in the sense that viciously attacking a top face would normally get over anyone not as generically sucky as Batista.

A very good RAW ... solid from start to finish ...

-It looks as if Jindrak & Cade practiced their promo skills.

-Nice tribute by the Dudleys to Hawk.

-Hopefully, this will be the last Dudleys/La Resistance match.

-Am glad Storm is getting over ... some great moves in a great tag match.

-Very Classy Stu Hart tribute.

-Damn ... Batista looks bigger than ever!!!

A sharp little show.

Evolution finally returns to full strength and Batista abuses Goldberg who was already assaulted by Mark Henry. Smart.

Flair beats Maven without the Figure Four and then gets the line of the night: "He lost the money." Orton has a busy night following a walkout loss to Booker and his concern about the money.

Jericho/Steiner look like a killer tag team while Jericho fawns over Trish and Christian helps Lita.

Cade/Jindrak show some initiative but get taken out by Hunter.

Austin and Bischoff have an invested interest in the next PPV. Test defends his "property" and Stacy obeys yet another abusive man.

A strong story-heavy show. But isn't it interesting that Hunter is back so soon?

Many wieners predicted the Bastista thing...PLease dont stop with the predictability!

I would really like if victoria/molly beat me up for a little while. heh call me a basham.

Kane Can't die silly wieners...dont you know Jason?

The Satire for this show should be nice.

Decent show overall....And I continue to enjoy raw more than SD(out of character for me).

Ehh, I don't know about that. I like the Survivor Series style as much as anyone but Triple H/Flair/Orton/Batista? You could make Benoit or Angle their fifth member and they probably still won't have a good match. Maybe they could let Triple H and Goldberg have their title match and just make it Flair/Orton/Batista with two other good workers. (More likely it would be Mark Henry and Rodney Mack)

But now that they have officially booked a 5 on 5 match let's hope that Smackdown also has atleast one 5 on 5 match. Really it makes sense to have these matches since they've got so much talent on their roster.

I enjoyed Raw tonight, overall.

Good stuff:

Good women's match, and I'm loving Jericho and Christian going after the ladies. Jericho and Trish's promo was really great, what with both of them getting all uncomfortable and having to "be someplace else." That was classic.

Booker T punking out Orton was great, too. I really hate Orton, and if he has to be on my TV, it's best that he comes across as a little pussy as opposed to a faux-"legend-killer." And it's just great to see Booker back, anyway.

5 vs. 5 Survivor Series match. It's about fucking time.

Lance Storm! I used to not really care one way or the other about this guy. I always respected his wrasslin', but he had nothing else going for him. Nowadays, I love his new gimmick, and he seems to be busting out much more impressive stuff in the ring, too. When he and Jericho were in there together tonight, it was damn good wrestling. Kudos to Lance. I hope his push continues.

Kane. He's my boy. Another great, evil promo. Kane's really been bringing it on the mic recently. makes me wonder where he'd be today if they'd given him some talking time a few years ago. Unfortunately, he's still feuding with Shane McMahon. He should have squashed him by now.

Tributes to Hawk and Stu Hart. I especially liked the armbands on Bubba and D-Von, and the Doomsday device. It's nice to see WWE show respect. As an aside, if the Dudleys are all of a sudden from New York, why do they still wear the "Dudleyville" jerseys?

Bad stuff:

Triple fucking H. Apparently, the Jindrak and Cade theft was just a vehicle for Triple H to make himself look better than everyone else. I thought we would have had some great hijinx with this stuff: Orton carrying an empty briefcase, trying to keep it from Flair, Cade and Jindrak pimpin' Versace wear and rubbing it in Orton's face (in front of Flair, so Orton couldn't do a damn thing)- Anything but what we got. Ho hum. I thought we weren't going to see Trips for a while. Has there even been a Raw without him?

Jericho, stuck with Steiner. Poor Chris. He always seems to be lugging some dead weight around.

Why do all the newer guys on the roster have big, ugly tattoos? Batista, Lesnar, Orton... I'm not excited about Batista vs. Goldberg. I hope it's a three-way at Survivor Series, and not those two- maybe with Michaels? I dunno who else, unless Trips wants his belt back.

Mark Henry and Teddy Long suck. That is all.

Austin's stunning of Stacy last week is apparently perfectly justified. You know, little kids watch this show. I'm not really one to care about what message TV programs send, but that's messed up. He knocks the hell out of her one week, and then they're all buddy-buddy? That makes my skin crawl.

How do you know which show is the better one to watch? The one that has the fewer McMahons.

With Batista back, Evolution has a little more depth to it while HHH is having his groin tended to.

Unlikely Knights In Shining Armor: What evil do Jericho and Christian have in mind? As long as Mark Henry doesn't save Mae Young from a Diva-led attack, they might have something here.

The 5 on 5 match for Austin's job: one angle that I like to see brought bask and one that's been done too many times.

Swordsman Yen's Player of the Night: Ric Flair. He put on a "dirtiest player in the game" clinic against Maven and played the reassuring teammate to Orton when he lost the money, only to hilariously stooge him off to HHH. The man still has it. WHOOOOOO!

Random Raw Thoughts:

Nice touch with the Hawk tribute. Why did they stop giving out the 3-bell salute?....The Austin/Test/Stacy segment was allright. Man, Test can't even sell a REAL injury right....Who'da thunk Shane-O Mac's only appearance would be pacing backstage?....Dudleys v.s La Resistance AGAIN? Nice to see the "Doomsday Device" Hawk tribute. I actually said it'd be cool if they did that when I was watching it. Did the Dudleyz ever wrestle in a Fed at the same time as L.O.D. though?....Booker/Orton match set-up. You HAD to know that one wouldn't end clean....Nice tip o' the hat to the XFL in the Survivor Series ad....Booker v.s Orton was too short for any words of praise....Mark Henry tries AGAIN to collect the bounty, but fails AGAIN....

Jericho/Steiner v.s RVD/Storm was pretty good. Nice "PUSH RVD" sign in clear view of the camera. Storm had his working boots on tonight....Nice (and unexpected) video tribute to Stu Hart. Interesting- showing him with Bret and Shawn back in the day....Jericho and Trish sounded like two 15-year olds backstage....Interesting twist with The Green Monkeys stealing the briefcase....The ladies tag-match was allright, with Trish taking a scary bump at the end....Christian? Okay, i'm interested in seeing where this is going....Maven v.s Flair was decent, including two Flair eye-pokes!....Add my name to the list of people impressed by the Kane promo....Why did it take so long for Cade/Jindrak to get outside? And of course, Trips finishes him off. Lame....Flair turning on Orton was hilarious....I'm surprised how much Shawn bumped for Goldberg. Well, of the names being tossed around (Henry, Trips, Nash, Orton, Batista), the right guy got the bounty. Not a bad show.

I agree, a solid show worth watching.

Good moments:

The crowd giving a nice cheer when Bischoff mentioned an "old-style" Survivor Series match.. I was real young when that was what Survivor Series was all about but I'm glad to see it's back. Provides nice ways to mix up angles and rivalries.

Re-inrodcing Jindrak and Cade into the mix and having them do something clever.. The resulting positive reaction from the crowd was good to see.

Flair, and Orton eing afraid of him.

Jericho/Steiner vs. Lance/RVD - Good match.

Kane's big promo at the end.. Actually worked for me.. Mostly because they let it go for what it was. No Shane, no stupid beatdown on either's behalf. Just Kane being pissed that he's going bald. I'm just assuming that's what he's so mad about..

Bad Moments:

Austin and the continued glorification of alcohol abuse. Stacy forgetting that 7 days ago he stunned her, unprovoked. You know it's a bad sequence when Test is the only element you're not repulsed by.

Booker vs. Orton.. Not bad, but nothing special and not much heat for Booker's array of moves.

Of course it's HHH who comes out on top. Being omniscient he knows exactly where J and C are going to be.. Crowd popped for his reveal; HHH later obtains a copy of this footage, giving him somethingto watch over and over tonight whilst beating off.

Uncategorizable Moments:

The good words put in for Molly's ass. Last year this was what we were supposed to make fun of Molly for, now it's getting some mild admiration.

Jericho's supposed chivalry thrown by the wayside so he can team with Stacy-beater Steiner? Sure he just wants to get in Trish's tights but working happily with Steiner is kind of odd.

"Batista is back" sign gives away the show's close. While I'm abivalent to Batista at this point, I guess it's nice to see Evolution's ranks growing....What next for Mark Henry? I'm not sure he's getting much heat as a heel and it seems the crowd wants to like and laugh at Theo Long's mic work rather than boo at the same tired old black vs. white stuff. I wouldn't mind a face turn for Henry here.. Have him go up against Evolution... You can have Big Bad Mark Henry be his dominant self in a couple matches only to get squashed my mean old Evolution in 4-on-1 beatdowns.. Henry gets momemntum by getting the better of some hyped up talents and Evolution gets painted as the classic group of thugs who will beat up anyone they can't beat clean. Anyway.. Raw is looking better lately. Hopefully it will keep up.

Good show. Other than Triple H spoiling Cade and Jindrak's moment of genius. I was praying it would be anyone BUT him swinging the 2x4, but no such luck.

Gotta agree with Jakegnosis: I used to think everyone overrated Lance Storm because he was bland, Canadian, and technical (...but I repeat myself). But since the face turn, he's been a lot more interesting to watch, Cabbage Patch and all. And the J.R. deep-throating of RVD continues, as RVD is now apparently the "greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time." Hopefully RVD is smart enough to know that J.R. blowjobs are cheap, especially if they're not accompanied by actual pushes, feuds, etc. ...

I should probably be bothered by the "heel abuses women, bad; face abuses women, good" vibe in the opening interview, but I can't feel any sympathy for Stacy when she's such a total doormat. Looked yummy, though.

The funniest thing about the main event was listening to the announcers talk about how beat up Goldberg was from Mark Henry's attack ... while, meanwhile, Goldberg sold absolutely none of the effects of that attack. Batista/Goldberg? Eh. Well, it'll do to mark time until the HHH/Goldberg "Thanks for Keeping It Warm, Bill" match at Survivor Series.

Just a thought: Since the No Mercy match ended ambiguously, could we be in for a five-on-five Survivor Series match from the Smackdown side as well, with Vince and Steph picking teams?

I can't believe I'm gonna say this. They're gonna take away my IWC Member card.

I'm glad Tripps is back.

It gives Goldberg a credible heel to feud with, it's not like he squashed Cade and Jindrak, and Evolution looks much more powerful. He hit them when they weren't looking with a 2x4. Sheesh.

Plus, him being back so soon means the honeymoon didn't go well! :)

The payoff for Stacy's attack totally sucked. She must be really good at faking...her taste for beer. Austin must always come out on top...of angles, mustn't he? What the hell has gotten into me?
I love the SurSer commercial. Cool that Vince can poke fun of himself once in a while.
The Hawk/Stu Hart tributes had me emotional. Well done.
I would really love for them to make an angle out of the Randy Orton bitch-slapping thing. Gives me a reason to tolerate his presence on tv.
Thumbs up for Raw. Far superior current show.
