The nWo angle will SUCK if it's just Hogan and Hall. And don't tell me they could recruit new members to fill Hall's spot. Hogan is the heart of the nWo, and Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are the soul. ____________________________________________________________ "So we march day and night by the big cooling tower, they have the plant but we have the power."

He is also the focal point to feud with Austin. He is doing fine and seems to be doing his job.

Well gee. I've tried to ignore everything you've wrote so far, but this just had to jump out and grab my attention. I have some questions for you.
Seth, when exactly was the last time you interviewed anybody in the WWF? Do you have any relation to Scott Hall? Are you employeed by WWFe?
Since the answers are probably "Never, not really, and no," I was just wondering where you get all your juicy info like the one quoted above.
NEWSFLASH: Hall may be fired within the next five seconds of reading this. So may Steve Austin. So may Funaki. Then again, all three of them may never be fired. YOU DON'T KNOW, so please don't ACT like you do. Thx. | DMC

| #5 Posted on 22.2.02 1922.01 Reposted on: 22.2.09 1923.58 | Personally I agree that it *would* take an act of God to fire Hall, because the NWO has essentially brought the casual and WCW fans back to wrestling, myself included. I now will wait to watch RAW and Smackdown which I *never* did before. Let's face it, it is the best move Vince has made in a very long time and I can't possibly see it getting screwed up now.
On a side note, being also a casual reader of this forum, I found it interesting that almost 90% of the posters here thought bringing the NWO in was a horrible idea, and now that they are in and doing their job, suddenly it was brilliant and most people love it. I'm sensing a lot of fickleness on this whole NWO thing, but I guess I may be mistaken.

As said in another thread, I think the Scott Hall is about to be fired stories are exaggerated, if not made up. The internet wrestling community always has one person to constantly bash (HHH then Undertaker), and it seems to be Scott Hall at the moment. I'm not outright dismissing the stories, as they could have some element of truth, but generally I don't put 100% faith in anything I read online.

Well I've interviewed The Honkytonk man for my last site which was wrestledogs.com. I most recently interviewed WWF developmental star Ron "H20" Waterman for 411. I had a commitment to interview Rico Constantino and Lodi of all people but have been busy with my new site.
Hope that helps. | MarchOfThePigs

Did the nWo even make that big of a change in the ratings? I thought they were basically the same as they were the week before. I could be wrong though.

He asked if I had interviwed anyone from the WWF and I responded honestly. Didn't really call for a snotty remark.
As for the ratings they were actually good before N.W.O and are good now. The positive thing about the nWo's entry is mainly in merchandise sales as their products are top sellers at shopzone. Also this is early on but Linda McMahon stated that the angle is bringing back the target teen audience.
Is the C.E.O of WWFE good enough for you?

It just takes awhile for casual fans to get back into it and to start going over to the WWF. Don't know if it will be a HUGE ratings hike, but it will be something I would think.
Bringing in Scott Steiner and/or Macho Man wouldn't hurt either.

Of course, it is off of the WWF's site, so they can put whatever spin they want on it, but given a choice between that and Nash, I think I would prefer to have Hall hanging around after Wrestlemania. | J. Kyle

I'm one of the people who said the NWO was a bad idea. I will say that I was wrong about the effect I thought it would have. I didn't think the casual fans would remember. It's obvious that they do. I still think that long-term, the NWO angle is a bad idea creatively speaking. But they seem to be handling it right so far. | Scorpio

And Disqo Infernqo/Buff Bagwell.
Caveat #1: The WWF isn't infallible.
And no, ratings aren't dramatically higher. Merchandising is up, and there's a little higher profile because of the name "Hogan." However, it's not the boom the WWF wanted.
And I wouldn't take the WWF's own interview with Scott Hall as gospel either, since they can obviously twist it to say whatever they want. We all know the nWo are being handed whatever they want. They have every opportunity in front of them. The question is, can they make it big? Can Hall make it worth all the hype?
And I have to vote no every time. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
