I just went to the dvd store and saw this dvd, the pack it's cool and seems to be grat, but some people have told me that it just sucks... I dont know if i should buy it, because for 24.95 (that's the price of the dvd) at my local store, i can take home 2 good movies like Ronin and Heat .

So...anybody has it? can you tell me if i should buy this dvd? I

rules or sucks?

thank you

The general consensus with the show was that it was poorly done and took a good concept and ruined it, turning it into a "praise us now" party.

Get Ronin and Heat. The RAW DVD is just plain awful.

Well, I did see the show unfortunately. The thing is, it's a glorified award show, and it should've been a clip show. Second of all, they hyped lots of surprises, and we got none. Third, their pick for best Raw match ever is not a good one (mine will always be the 10 man tag in Dallas or Y2J beating HHH for the WWF title). They chose the TLC match form Raw Roulette. That was a good match, but not THAT good.

Also, the extras are few and far between for a DVD that's supposed to celebrate TEN years of Raw. Most of the highlights we've seen are from the Attitude Era. Yeah, we get bits of the first show, but nothing else Pre-Austin. If you want to see a tribute to Raw done right, I'd say skip that DVD, get Ronin, and if you have some extra cash, find the Best of Raw Volumes 1,2, and 3.

The show was basically the "WWF SLAMMY AWARDS" revisited.

Aw, Ringmistress! I assume the DVD has HHH mooning Steph on it! Now that might not be an interesting highlight for Dr Wagner, or most of the target audience, but personally I'd pay $24.95 just for that! (If I didn't already have it on tape. Although, given the enhanced picture quality of DVD ...) :-)

I bought the DVD....

The WWE has me by the balls. I buy every DVD.

Don't waste your time. The *only* extra worth your time is The Big Show getting interviewed since he's the only person who stays relatively in character and has a brilliant little spot. Those who own the DVD likely know what I'm talking about.

The rest of the extras are a waste, unless you're interested in hearing the superstars "shoot with the fans" by informing us over and over how important this show really was.

$24.95 sounds like a reasonable price...that's about how much someone should have to pay you to actually sit through that thing.

The show was ghastly. Unless you're dying to catch a few seconds of Triple H's bare ass, I would suggest you buy *anything* else with the money.

Haha Emma, Well for me seeing Trish in her little silver spacegirl dress giving a kiss to Lillian was enough to make my heart skip a beat or a thousand LoL.

I was *this close* to making the show in person. As luck (ha!) would have it, I was scheduled to be in New York on business the next day. So I flew in the night before from Toronto -- only problem was a serious customs delay. I didn't arrive in NYC until maybe 9, which was way too late to start looking for tickets.
Obviously, I'm glad I wasn't able to attend. I read on the web later that night how the show went down...
But you know what? I watched the show later, and if you weren't expecting any of the surprises, it was *okay* and pretty watchable. Ideally, if you could rent the DVD first, that would be your best bet.

Yeah that show was horrible ... no surprises ... to me, it was just a big Royal Rumble promotion ...

Well, HHH's bare ass is always a nice surprise to me, but I've already seen it for free, so I stand by what I said.
